Happy Birthday to Wilson!

GoKarting_Birthday_cake.jpg

Thank you Aisling.. I wish.. but I did not win the lotto!! I will keep trying in hopes to get enough to hit Disney...

2. details of Wilson's birthday party, and for nan to tell us it was a bright sunny day, with not a drop of rain.
8. that Jill, Nan, Kaz, and Dick are feeling better.

It rained and the race was cancelled the first half of the day was pretty terrible (Dad did not have good back up plans, nor had he "invited" the track friends to any of those non exsistant back up plans) Mom came to the rescue and his hometown friends spent the afternoon at an arcade and then we had a dinner at the Spagetti Factory.

I'm getting better, but just totally over whelmed with work stuff. Paul left this afternoon for a week in Atlanta for a tradeshow....yuck!

Happy Birthday to Wilson!

If I show him that cake, I will get WHY DIDN'T I Get that cake???? So, I'm not showing him and Lee and I will make it for next year, it even says 9 so it's like it's calling to me, fix this for him next year.....

It's almost 7 PM, the sun has gone down, and it's a warm 80 degrees here. I'm looking out my window in the Royal Palm Club at the Grand Floridian, and I can see the Magic Kingdom all lit up, I can almost smell the popcorn from Main Street, I hear the monorail swooshing by, and I have to get going soon, because I have a 7:30 ADR at 'Ohana. I had a lazy, relaxing, perfect afternoon, napping without interruption , hearing the excited voices of people going from park to hotel to strolling to monorailing to kids running in the halls carrying Mickey Mouse balloons, and it was all music to my ears. Time for me to go over to the Poly for dinner. If you want to join me later, I'll be at Jellyrolls enjoying the dueling pianos and then maybe Downtown Disney for some late night dancing if I'm not too tired. I hear Mousekeeping outside my door, ready to do my room turn-down, and I haven't even left yet! Well, I did request a 7 pm turndown, as well as a 8 am Mickey wake-up call. "Up and at 'em!" he always says in the morning.
I think tomorrow I'll put the do not disturb sign on my door, and sleep in, order room service for brunch, and then just see where the pixie dust leads me. I have a goal of sitting on every bench in WDW, and photographing myself at each one, so maybe I'll work on that tomorrow. We'll see.pixiedust:

Aisling - I want some of what you are having. It must be the bomb :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :lmao: :grouphug: pixiedust:

Hi everyone!!! Apologies for not having been around much but I'm still suffering - seem to have developed an ear infection now which is making me feel like crap again!!! I sincerely hope this is all my sickness out of the way for the entire year as I'm sooo incredibly bored of myself...

Hope everyone else is fighting fit and enjoying life. It feels like Spring is just around the corner and I, for one, can't wait. :flower3: My DH is in such dire need of warmer weather, he persuaded me to book some cheap end of March flights to Barbados for us and DS - so looks like we'll be enjoying some Caribbean loveliness in a few short weeks!!! :beach: I'm hoping it'll be the tonic I need...

...he persuaded me to book some cheap end of March flights to Barbados for us and DS...

Now THAT, dear lady, seems like a cure to me!!
This has been a winter filled with a lot of colds and flu for many people, more than usual I think. Everyone I know has family member sniffling, feverish, coughing, or just not feeling well. Spring is almost here, and I, like you kaz, can hardly wait. I'm happy you're able to get away to a warm place. As I recall, I suggested that to you a few posts back, and you shall be receiving my bill promptly!:rotfl2: For now, cuddle up in some cozy blankets, and relax today.:thumbsup2

What a quiet day here on the Magic Matey's thread!

I spent the day going over my family's finances, and picking the brains of the Budget Boarders. And mentally spending our tax refund!

I hope everyone is well. I just watched the Dem debate, and got a few laughs out of that. And now I'm going to say Good Night!

I spent all day at school...long day, two tests the day before-I think I did well~

Today we start at physical therapy for John, we're having lunch out (he's going stir crazy being stuck in the house all this time) and then a little homework again and class tonight~

Holy moley, I think I killed our thread!

Ok, I'll just talk to myself then!:snooty:

Let's see, how's my day so far? Fine, concerned about Jesse taking a math test today and him not getting enough sleep last night. He went to school tired, but I think he'll perk up as the day goes on.

Mel has been forced to overcome his fear of the dentist, and is having his awful teeth made healthy and purdy. I'm proud of him!

Chad is at the gym, and then work and then school.

I'm wearing a white sweater today, and I love white, but I hate sweaters, but I hate coats even more, so I use a sweater instead. I'm in my car (NOT DRIVING), and Dising. I have some banking to do, but I'm just relaxing before I drive over there.

Had my leaky roof repaired yesterday, and I'm happy it's overwith.

I'm hoping to visit Louise's niece little Julia today, who had surgery on her ureter last week. I LOVE that baby! She just turned three.

Time to do my daily self-psychoanalysis: I'm feeling ok, nothing particularly bothering me, but my pessimistic, anxious alter-ego knows that something will come up to whack me in the head. Ok, stop the negative thoughts right now, and just be grateful that today is so far a good day.

CCD (Catechism class) today, and I'm thinking of a creative way to teach my students about the spiritual meaning of lent, that it's not all about "giving something up", but about self-reflection. The kids are fifth graders, and really into the class. I have a feeling our priest Fr. Charlie is going to stop by our class, because we made him a Valentine's Day card, and knowing him, he'll come to personally thank them. The kids love that guy; he's really down-to-earth and good with kids.

My sister and my OTHER sister's husband are going to Thailand this summer (they're traveling buddies), and I'll have her two kids staying with me for two weeks...looking forward to that. They did western Europe last summer, and next year they're planning a trip to Africa, I don't know which countries, but I know a safari is involved. My BIL also went to Eqypt last years with my two nephews. He's even been to Austrailia twice! And Mel's niece and her DH are going to Mongolia, and last year they went to Tahiti. So what, I went to Jersey last week, so there!

This is turning into a blog, and I hate blogs, so I'd better stop. I see the Chinese ladies doing their tai chi, and I think I'll go join them.

Before I go, here's a picture of my new nephew, Joshua, whom I visited in North Dakota a few weeks ago. My brother is stationed there at Grand Forks Air Force Base.

Yes, that's my finger in his mouth, and yes it was clean!

The end.

that baby is cute :lovestruc

enjoy the day...

interesting comment about Lent. We have been talking about it here. Wil was playing at a friends house the other day and his friend gave up his wii. Wilson thought he lent it to someone...it was an interesting conversation. I like your comment about self reflection. I'm not Catholic, and don't believe in the giving up side of Lent, but do very much get the 40 days. I think we can also take this period of time as a more tangible way to add this to ones daily life.

must get to work....

later.

Hi Magic Mateys,

Work is crazy this week due to our company President being asked to step down. Now there are meetings upon meetings going on to figure out where we go from here.:confused3 Most everybody feels this is a good thing and things will definitely be better around here.

My birthday weekend was great but I didn't want it to end. :sad2: I went and got my nails done on Friday and then went to the timeshare and relaxed, took a bath, colored my hair, watched a couple of movies and slept through the night without waking up to snoring 3 or 4 times. I was in heaven! :cloud9: Around 2pm on Saturday the girls from work arrived with food, drink and best of all presents.:dance3: We had planned a menu and all brought something to make a meal which included appitizers, desert and different drinks. :upsidedow After appitizers and drinks we went to the hot tub for about an hour. It was perfect with a light rain falling on us and it also helped to water down the drinks. :rotfl2: We went back at around 5pm and got into our jamies and fixed dinner, drank more and watched a few movies. popcorn:: You would think that by now we would all be drunk but we weren't. We were pacing ourselves and drinking lots of water. After the movies we played a game called Jinga. It was a blast. We all went to bed by 11:30 (such party animals!). party: Another uninterupted night, except for getting up to go potty (remember all that water we drank). We all slept in and then got up for breakfast with memosa's (yummy!). Unfortunatly, all good things come to an end and we all parted ways. Jeff did OK with my being gone and the house was clean (his standards not mine):bitelip: when I got home. There might be hope for him (not holding my breath) after all!

Aisling, we are all out here and love reading your posts. I myself would like to read more fantasy posts. I loved your fantasy and isn't it funny how our fantasies change as we get older.

Wait.. your not REALLY in Disney Aisling??? I soooo believed you were.. I was living vicariously through you!!

I so wish I was down there right now.. and for a week or more.. just relaxing and enjoying good food.. and riding rides, and strolling the parks.. and so much more!

I hope everyone is getting over their winter illnesses. I have a headache.. but only because I started a diet today.. so no diet pepsi.. which is giving me the w/drawals!!! YIKES!

Now, that is why I wanted some of what she was on - cause, I knew where she was. :lmao: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 :rotfl: :lovestruc

Good luck with the new prez of your company!
And I KNEW you'd have a swell birthday!:thumbsup2

Kelly, :lmao: OMG if only I was really writing from WDW! I have a very active imagination, I have to, or else I'd go nuts from boredom!

Jill, let's have a few kamakazies on the ship, and I bet we can come up with all kinds of fantasies!

By the way, did I ever tell you that years ago when my kids were small, I used to write for women's trashy romance magazines? Once in a store my SIL embarrassed the crap out of me when she saw one of the mags with my story in it at the check out. She got so excited, held it up, ans shouted for all the world to hear "this is the writer of one of these stories!!!" It wouldn't have been embarrassing if the mag didn't have cover titles like "Adventures In My Dentist's Chair", and "My Wedding Night Confession". ( I didn't write either one of those!)

Tiggie, home from school yet?
