We did the Xcaret. That was a boat ride, then red & blue buses to the park. I really enjoyed that. There is a musem, an aquarium, bird sanctuary & stables. We even saw chicks hatching. Later that day we went to Cozumel.

The ruins we did was because of the extra days because of the hurricane. It was in Costa Maya. Ruins are pretty cool to explore. I took lots of pictures.

I am driving down the 22nd, with an arrival date of the 23rd. I will be at the Shades Of Green. Hope we can hook up like last time at least for lunch or dinner on the 26th. (or even the park)
Colleen are the kids staying at SOG or Pop?

I thought your ressies were for after the cruise, my bad...

can't you sponsor a room for Aisling? I think you're allowed up to three~

The kids will fly down the 26th, most likely - fairly early, like Aisling.

Isn't the another ruins tour I'm not seeing here???

I've been looking for NYE cruise trip reports, but there are hardly any!

I found two other "ruins" tours...one got a very low rating in passporter and the other is a horse ride by~ Tulum wins.

Key West has a pirate scavenger hunt I have marked as a favorite...

There were two at Grand Cayman I liked- they are both nautilus tours but one goes in the water and the does not.

Castaway Cay is wide open for my two, I'll have to wait til they read what is offered before I'll have idea what/if any they want to do.

Waiting for Spring to spring, thanks CustardTart!
(But what ARE those things??)

Aisling, puhlease tell me you really know that is Chip and Dale in your siggy :)

I've been so busy with school and John I've had no time to keep up with trip reports :(

thanks for my Chip and Dale Kaz

Sunday is Mother's Day in the UK, (or Britain or England or all of those:rotfl2: ), and so I wish CustardTart aka Kaz aka Karen aka our lovely European friend, HAPPY MOTHER's DAY!

At Grand Cayman we did the stingray city reef sail & snorkel. Allyssa had a great time with the stingrays. I believe thats the place that had the Harley shop. There were great stores there. That's also where there is a pirate ship on the way to shore. I have a pic of Allyssa with her head in a sharks mouth. We ate at the jailhouse cafe.

Yes, I believe I can do that for our friend Aisling. However, I just called down there & the lady said they are already booked up that whole week. Also, I checked on line & they are totally booked on the 26th.

Dolphin swim
Snorkling to see a real sunken ship
The walk-the-plank pirate ship excursion
Ruins
In-town sightseeing/shopping

These are the things I want to do, but have to divide them up among our ports!

Colleen, I found a trip report with copies of the navigators on a site I have e-mailed to you from NYE 2006. Since I don't have Aislings number or e-mail you can forward it to her.

I want my next Dolphin experience to be at Discovery Cove.

You know, that might be worth waiting for...doing it on our next Universal trip instead of on the cruise. When we do WDW, we don't like to go outside disney property, but doing Universal, we go off. So that's something to think about. Is Discovery Cove related to Disney in any way? If so, then we can't mix it with universal. We're so anal about our Florida trips!

DC is part of Sea World!

Rose, Ed, John and me went the inaugural year,

I've been wanting to take the kids back since 2000!

We should plan for a 2009 Universal/Discovery Cove trip. In 2009, there's supposed to be some new Universal stuff completed, not sure what.

I wanna fit California into 09 as well~

There's no way I can do Cali AND Universal in one year, because we stay onsite at Universal, and that pretty much eats up our yearly big vacation budget.

I just asked Chad and Louise about upgrading to a Deluxe for the night before, and they feel it isn't worth the money just for the one night.:sad1: I guess they're more practical than I am, preferring to use that money on excursions and such. Rotten kids.
