NEW Wilderness Lodge FAQ!!

It's so exciting just to have a few Hours/days left to go. I'm all packed (I know I'm going to forget something).

Have a save trip down this week and soon we will all be home at WL.:D

Just FYI even if you request a specific room that doesn't guarantee you will get it. I requested a honeymoon room that looked to the magic kingdom and ended up getting a woodsview room. We changed rooms in the middle of our stay so it worked out, but don't always expect to get the exact room number you request. (I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad, I am just stating what my experience was)
Hope you all have a great time at the Wilderness Lodge!!

Next year I am staying at the All Star (we spent way too much money on our honeymoon- 10 days at Disney!!)

Hi All.....
Faxing your requests is a great start to a magical vacation, I do understand that some have already requested certain views and floors when calling to book your resevations, however, those requests DO NOT always filter down to the resorts...You may have stated that you want non-smoking, fifth floor, lobby/courtyard view, however, please keep in mind that they are only requests and are not guaranteed...Room assignment in each resort tries to accommodate EVERYONE....Please when you do check in, chances are your room has already been preassigned, and if it is not what you wanted, please do not take it out on the cast member checking you in....We do try our best and we love seeing your smiling faces....
If you do not want to fax your room request, i do suggest calling room assignment directly (407) 824-2933....after 4pm is suggested and please say a big hello to the cast member who answers, we all have the same common goal....

Have a Magical Day!!!!!!!!!!

We had such a wonderful time at the Lodge, we didn't want to leave it to go anywhere! The boat ride to MK is a wonderful asset to staying there. Can't wait to do it again sometime! Thanks to all of you who responded to my questions before going! It's the highlight of our experiences!

By the way, we have a coupon to either Sea World, Busch Gardens or Adventure Island for $10 off for up to 6 people--can save a family up to $60. But it expires Dec. 23. I'll send it off to the first person who e-mails me for it. : )

Well, DH has convinced me to stay here for Thanksgiving 2003!

I would like to book a woods view and actually have a view of nothing but the woods. Is there such a view?I would also like bunk beds and to not be too far from all the action. I don't want too much do I?

Does anyone know the price of the Honeymoon rooms in value season and if they offer discounts on them?

I would like to stay in one for our upcoming anniversary trip if they are not too expensive.

My wife and I will be at the honeymoonsuite tomorrow. I dont know the actually price for just the room. With the room and the resort magic plan you are looking at about $2100.00 for 5days for night during value season.

Just wanted to give a big "Thanks" to everyone who has posted such great tips on this thread. I can not believe that we will be there in 2 days! I just hope that I don't forget anything!

AskMickey-thanks for the tip about calling the room assigner. I spoke to Marco (I think) and he was VERY helpful!! Please tell him that Julie from Pensacola says "Thank you"!

Can anyone tell me if there are connecting bunkbed rooms. My sister and her 2 kids (14 yo DD and 8 yo DS) and my husband and I and our 2 kids(14yo DS and 10 yo DD) would really like to have connecting rooms but would love bunkbeds even more. Anyone know about these?

Hope this doesn't sound stupid. What wing location would we request if we wanted to stay on the same side as AP and RF?Would this be considered the north or west wing? We have stayed 3x before in a Courtyard View but just took luck of the draw and ended up on that side with a great view each time. Thanks

madcoco -- that would be the north wing. The only problem I saw with that wing is that there are lots of trees on that side so if you want to see the water pageant, they may block the view.

Just remember everyone that the north wing is where Roaring Forks is and where you get the refillable mugs. If you stay in this wing the mugs are well worth the price. The elevators are the fastest on earth and it takes no time to refill the mugs.

Hi All...
MinnieandMickey....There is only ONE set of connects in the entire resort that has bunk beds in both rooms, from my memory, they are a woods view room...There are plenty of rooms that ADJOIN (side by side) that have what you want.......

Have a Magical Day....

Well, we just returned from our week at "the Lodge" and I will try to get a trip report done asap. We brought back some nasty colds and coughs with us, so I'm not feeling up to computer time right now. But I will get to the report soon!

on Wednesday and 2 of my boys and I have been battling the same thing!!! Our ears hurt, we cough, etc.

Tis the season for that yucky stuff I guess! Or maybe it's Disney Withdrawl Disease? :(

Get well soon! I know I'm sure trying!!

Hi Everyone -

Sssssoooooo excited, we leave tomorrow!!!! I know somewhere on this message this question had to be posted but here goes - what is the deal with the refillable mugs I've read about at the WL? How much do they cost? THANKS! Will be looking for those lime green ribbons when we're there! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR THE GREAT INFO SHARED ON THIS THREAD! :Pinkbounc

Hello,

We are staying at the WL this weekend. We have booked a woodsview room. We are interested in the section down near the boat dock. Does anyone know if this is considered woodsview?

Thanks.
