We are going to WL at the same time you are same day.... how long are yall staying... Just thought i would ask

Thanks for the advice, folks, on when to book. I'm going to book my ressies this week and keep looking for discounts later.

The advice on this thread is just terrific!

Can anyone help me with this?

We have ressies for WL in January and are due to have it paid in full by mid-Nov. I already have DC discounts applied, but am still watching for any codes to help out. If a code comes out after I have it all paid for, will they refund the difference?

We are so :Pinkbounc excited :Pinkbounc -- our first trip!!! Thanks so much for everyone who posts here. I feel so much more informed and prepared because of this board and I love the feeling of family. I hope to be able to help someone with my posts when we return. :p :p :p

Condolences to 999ghsts -- losing a family member is never easy, but I hope you are consoled by the outporing of love I have seen here. :(

I am looking for pictures of the WL honeymoon suites or someone who has stayed in them to tell me about them and if not about them then about the concierge service at the WL

You are great. Thanks for your help. I can't wait to enjoy the patio.

Like the cheer. Do you have choreography?

I drive everyone nuts talking about Disney also, except for my best friend. She is nuttier about it more than me. She goes every month!

We are staying 9 nights, our longest trip ever. How long is your trip? Are you concerned about the PoP Warner kids?

Cannot wait to get back to the Lodge.

And I still have to add WL Vet to my signature. :)

DisLuv and LoveMickey -

When are you going?
I couldn't find the dates you were going in this thread.
Just curious :)
I noticed the Pop Warner thing - what were the dates on that?

My 8yr old DD cheers for Pop Warner and we just found out that we will be in Disney when they go to comp in Lowell so she won't be able to learn the routine - She is NOT happy about that.

Mom2ds-

Who did you book through that you are required to pay it so soon? I had booked through an agent and had only paid like $600ish when the prices for our dates came out so I had no problem getting the new rates. actually:earseek: you just reminded me that I should go in and pay off my balance! ;)

Hi PattyT -

I called the number that DC gave me, think it was 1-800-933-3975 (WD Travel Co.). I called on 8/3 and was required to send a $200 deposit by 8/13 and then the total by 11/17.

Glad I reminded you to send yours off!! :D

We will be there 12/6 to 12/15.

I read somewhere on these boards that Pop Warner kids will be there the week of the 8th. That is not confirmed.

Can't wait to get back to the Lodge and see the Christmas decorations, hope they have the village set up this year.

:D

I just booked my honeymoon reservations for the WL, July 27th for eight nights. I'm very excited! I figured it's better to have the room booked just to make sure I've got one. I got a Disney Club discount and already saved $300! Woohoo! :bounce: :bounce:

i'm going to keep eyes open for annual passport discounts later.

I would not have had a clue about how to do any of this without the advice I got on this thread. Thanks to everyone who posted.

:D

AHHHH i was leaving the abby mouse at home to be with out the kids.... and now pop warner is bringing his. Shouldnt kids be in school.... I mean if teachers have to be there then kids shoul...... Wait I am a teacher and I will not be at school.... NEVER MIND:jester:

Hi -

Just wanted to see if I could be at all helpful. Don't feel like my 6-day stay at WL qualifies me as a "vet", but I can try...

FeeFee - WDW Florist delivered a birthday boquet of flowers and balloons for my DD's 6th birthday. Grandpa had called ahead. He must have specifically asked for pink & purple because all the baloons and flowers were exactly that! They were gorgeous and stayed fresh all week. Thinking of your aunt..

dtuylema(is that right?)- your requests are fine, as long as you have them prioritized for yourself. I am convinced I got such a great room on my last stay, in part, because I changed my mind about the bunkbeds. There are( I think) only 200 rooms w/ BB, so eliminating that option provides so much more flexibility.

? - There is a microwave and toaster oven in the adjacent dining room to Roaring Forks. I am definitely bringing my own popcorn next time! And do get the mugs!!!

We loved the WL and are trying to get back there ASAP.(Sigh) Waiting for SWA to post January fares!!!

Good luck. The magic and the harmony of nature awaits.

I want to thankyou all for the helpful info. I have gotten from all of you, this is my first time to the WL and I feel I know most of the resort already.
I wish I would have know about this board when we stayed at CR
We hated it so much, we will never go back, I don't that will have at this trip.
Thanks to Ghost999 for all her insdie info, and to Kimmar067 for starting all this.
While to pack, as I only have 7 nights to get ready, for the cruise, then our "First" time at WL.

THANKYOU ALL

:)

Good afternoon to all.

Just bumping this up to the first page.

Have a Magical Day!!

WL vet.

Could someone PLEASE!!! tell me what I should request for a great view of the waterfall area?? We are also trying to get bunk beds, but the view is the most important. We stayed a few years back in a room, that had a breathtaking view of the falls, and I didn't write the room# down:rolleyes: From looking at the pictures I took from our balcony I think it must have been the 6th floor room , cause you can see where I'm looking down at part of the roof. Does that sould right:confused:
i think I also remember reading Kimmar 067 saying that room 6049 had a waterfall view room with bunkbeds, Kimmar are you out there????
Thanks everbody:D

Hi. I'm getting so excited about my 1 night stay at WL on Nov 1. I just recently had surgery, and have been in a boot/cast since the beginning of June. There have been so many tests and unknowns that I am definitely looking forward to a night away at Disney, a chance to explore WL, time at MNSSHP, and a wonderful way to celebrate my husband's and my 1st anniversary.

I have asked some questions about room location before, but I now have another one. My husband and I have a courtyard room booked. Is there a nice courtyard room off the loby? What floor would you WL vets recommend? I had originally wanted close to the boat dock, but we will actually be spending more time around the loby than our one trip to the boat dock for MNSSHP. Any recommendations?

Thank you everyone!

Wow, it's pretty apparent 999ghosts is sorely missed around here! I hope he/she is doing well. Just a thought for those that are looking for answers about room location....When I couldn't get a response on my question I went looking through the past posts. Granted, it's not as easy as popping in for a question and getting a quick response, but it works. I found the exact information I was looking for and in great detail. So, if no one can answer your question try looking in the past posts, or better yet just do a search for post by 999ghosts( when the search is working that is :( ) It may be a little slow going, but I don't think there is a single question about room location that hasn't been asked at some time!:D

Anne2....I'm no WL expert but I think I may be able to help you with your question as I did some searching looking for information about courtyard view/lobby rooms. Apparently there are rooms on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors that overlook the lobby that are courtyard view. There are some rooms on the 4th floor that have trees that may block some view of the courtyard area, part of the 5th floor is non smoking, the 6th floor only has 1 room with the view of the lobby being partially blocked by the chimney on the fireplace. At least this is what I recall reading in some older posts.

...yes, I DID mention that 6049 has bunks, as well as a great falls view. Also, 6043 has the same criteria, so that is a 2nd option. (#6049 is a little closer to the lobby, while #6043 is closer to the falls; it is the last room before you make a left turn to the short hallway before turning right again to get to the elevator that goes directly to Roaring Fork and the pool....)

9ghsts ~ hope all is well.....:)

:bounce: THANKS KIMMAR 067 !!!!!!!!
I thought that's what I read, cause I had made a little note with your name by it. It probably would have taken me 2 weeks to read back through all those posts!!
Do you think I should request a certain room #, or just request 6th floor, waterfall view?
Thanks Again!!! ;) I can't wait till Nov. 29:D :D :D :D :D :D
