We were there from June 1-8th.
Woods View, Bunk beds, Lobby room #5082. The view of MK fireworks was awesome. The noise from Whispering Canyon was not, but I think it only bothered my wife and I since the kids were so tired every night.
Roaring Forks is great for what it is. Good counter service type food and snacks. You can also get it to go and take it to your room or poolside. We also bought the large refillable mug for $10. Good deal if you use it even 3 or 4 times!
Transportation was great. Only had one really bad bus experience, but one out of a lot of bus trips isn't something to complain about. The front desk was misinformed about the transportation to early PS's at MK. They told me that the correct bus to take would be the one marked "Character Breakfast". It is NOT! From the WL you must take the TTC bus and transfer to the monorail for PS's. If in doubt, just aske the first driver that comes along! Same thing for FW. My brother-in-law's family was camping there and were told they could be picked up by van/car for early PS's. When no one showed up they very nearly missed out on our CRT ressie. They were nearly an hour late, but other CMs had made calls to the restaurant to hold their table! I had also alerted CM's that they would be there.
We used Tiffany Towncar. They were great. Ask for David if you are using them, as we liked him a lot. He is actually an independent driver that subcontracts with Tiffany using his own car. In fact, whenever we go back I may just look him up and book with him direct!
We did eat at Whispering Canyon. The food was good, not great. Our server was really fun, but it was our first night there and we were really tired, so the humor wasn't as appreciated as it might have been later in the trip!
My opinion only, but if you're going with kids over aged 3...leave the strollers at home and don't bother with renting one either. My kids are 3 and 6 and they walked everywhere. No complaints either. I know we walked at least 3-4 miles per day for 7 straight days. We made sure we walked with the kids a couple of times a week for a month or so before the trip. Drink lots of water and let the kids have a good bit of say in what you do when (with the proper 'leading' questions of course!
