Hi, I just got my NEW WDW vacation planning video: Where Magic Lives. I haven't watched the whole thing yet, had company this morning. Lots of repeat stuff, but that's okay. Anyone else get it yet? S

Got mine on CD today and haven't had time to watch it yet. Hopfully will be able to later tonight.

I ordered both the one for adults & the family one on dvd and received them a few weeks ago. Alot of the same, but some new stuff too. I really like the interactiveness to the dvd's. You can choose individual parks or resorts and they also have some of the more popular attractions in a little more detail. I have been collecting these for years and between watching them and the videos I tape while I'm there holds me over until my next visit. I even taped the Zippa-dee-doo-daa channel!

Can you please explain; in very simple terms; how you did this? ( I have a hard time with tech stuff) I'd love to have a copy of the ZDDD channel to play when I return from our next trip.

I've ordered mine online 4 weeks ago and am still waiting. It said 2-3 weeks when I ordered it. How long did yours take to get here? I'm wondering if I should reorder it.

We got our DVD the other day. I did not realize there was one for the family and one for adults as well. I like the interactiveness of the DVD as well.

I watch it about once a week to keep me going till our trip the first week of June.:smooth:

I got my DVD a week ago (1 day before I left!) and found it interesteing. I particularly liked how you could see room layout for all categories of all Disney resorts- from rooms at the all *s to the 2BR suites at the GF. Catchy tune played throughout it- I found myself humming it while at WDW last week :D

I ordered mine almost 3 weeks ago too. I may reorder. I go the mailbox anxiously everyday.

Unless things have changed, there are three versions.

Family - for parents with young children
Prefamily - for singles, college students, young families without kids, and pretty much everything else
Postfamily - for grandparents/seniors

If you call CRO, you may be able to request a specific type, although I haven't tried that yet.

That said, I certainly like the DVD, but the quality of the actual video is still lightyears behind what they were in the mid-1990s. They need to stop showing so many interviews with people making fools of themselves and show more of the parks instead.

i agree with wdwguide- also, did anyone notice how some of the intereviews and footage and information is dated? I noticed a few spots. Also, I noticed that the "MGM" was digitally removed from several places shown, particularly the large arch near the chinese theater- I know that the name will be changing soon, but it seemed strange to me to go thru the effort.

All I did to tape this channel was to set my camcorder up on a tripod, focused in on the tv screen, turned the volume up and let it tape. Since I was there solo, I went after the room had been cleaned and rented a watermouse while it was taping. I was just watching it this morning. It still needed to be updated a little at that time, since it was still showing the DI, but other things were current. Other people have hooked up vcr's to the tv and taped it from that. I believe that only the DVC's (1 or 2 bedrooms) have vcr's and after doing alot of inquiring, there are none to be borrowed or rented from Disney. I think you can rent them from an outside source or some people bring a vcr with them on their trip.
