New Vacation Package available - July 2nd for Nov 2024 onwards

It likely depends on the package. A 3-day/2-night package should include beverages for 3 days since it includes 3 parks. The 2-day/1-night should include 2 days. Unless I'm missing something.
It’s confusing since we’re getting 2 park tickets despite this being a 3-day/2-night package.

It would be good to know if the unlimited beverages is good for the 3rd day.

I honestly would have done the same if I could have completed the transaction! And I’m still checking regularly. I think of it much like the Universal Express pass - it totally changes the feel of your day to be able to do what you want, *whenever you want*, instead of frantically refreshing apps or being worried about missing reservations.

I hope you get the one you want! You probably know this already, but make sure you are clicking through to the availability calendar in the package to view the month to check true availability. When I put in my dates, it listed the package as sold out, but when I clicked on it anyway, I had the option to view availability, which brought up a calendar that showed each day and took forever to load. One of those times, the date I had initial entered was actually available. So that initial sold out screen isn't always correct.

Yep, checking daily, and that slow-loading calendar is hilarious… We’re DL locals in California and have been to WDW several times, as well as DLP, so main focus will be on new experiences (no Splash, Soarin or Toy Story for example).

I don’t see any info on our package about Believe! Sea of Dreams seating, so I’m assuming we’ll need to look into DPA for that. Does anyone have current info on that?

Show/parade seating isn't included in the foreign packages, just Japanese packages. If you are staying Harbor View at Miracosta, you can see it from your room. Otherwise, you could DPA. I have read mixed reviews about the DPA for Believe. We got DPA for the Electrical Parade at TDL, and it was good.

We were there last summer and so while some of this dated I doubt it has changed much— we had great seating for the Electrical Parade (though I think you could be as many as 3-4 rows back?) but we did not have good seats for Believe — the reserved seats mostly have an OK viewing angle but we were like 10 rows back and we got there 30m plus before the show— also I had ants crawl up my shorts and bite me while waiting. My own ant disaster aside, you’re sitting on the floor and the floats are above you. We watched it a second time from the restaurant inside MiraCosta and the line of sight was much better (though there was not piped in sound)— a balcony above the restaurant would be ideal…but if we go back again while both are available we would watch the electrical parade twice.

Maybe I'm missing something. But our 3-day/2-night package gets us into DL day 1, FS day 2, DS day 3. Perhaps the resort you're doing doesn't offer a park all 3 days?

There are now three different 2n packages

The new 2n/2d even more attractions package is only two day parks. One would believe that beverage ticket is limited to those two days of the park package. If you elect a third day outside the package , I doubt the drink ticket would work, but no one really knows.

Question to folk who have gone extra day beyond their VP....did anyone try the ticket the day after?

Apologies - didn't realize there were so many flavors of vacation packages! We certainly wouldn't want things to be simple!

The validity dates are clearly printed on the drink ticket and they are not valid after the vacation package.

Japanese vacation packages with one day of park tickets but two nights of hotel include a drink ticket that is only valid for the park day included in the vacation package. Based on this precedent, I assume the drink ticket for the new English vacation packages will also only be valid for the two days of included park entry.

I would like to know for sure.

I want to get my money’s worth and I get very thirsty, so every perk counts.

Just a heads up, I’ve booked two of the and even more attractions packages for November and for all the meals, except breakfast you can click no restaurant. There’s even a notation about the package that says the in park restaurants cannot be booked yet. That’s why none show as available. The official website says select no restaurant if you want to eat in park and then to add a park restaurant when bookings open.
Thank you so much for this! Just saved ¥60k on my booking by changing all the lunch and dinner bookings to "no restaurant"!! Maybe it was just the panic but I don't remember seeing that as an option when I first made the booking on my computer. I just used my phone to change the booking and it was the first option available.

I don't understand why the restaurant bookings change the package price if you still have to pay for the meals later on? 🤔

There's some debate about the restaurant pricing. Some people have definitely said recently that they didn't pay for a buffet meal reserved as part of their package; this was a lunch or dinner, not breakfast. The package price included it. I have also heard this for restaurants where you get a set meal/prix fixe. It still seems misunderstood though.

Yeah 30,000 per reservation deleted on that even more for 4 person party. That's $50 per person per meal which makes sense that is a meal, not just a reservation at least for that new unlimited rides package.

I hope it was the cost of the meal. It's just so confusing though. I wish it were more clear. We didn't focus on food, so I got the Attractions & More and just made some reservations at 30 days.

I just played with the dining options to see what was going on. Switching one of the lunch buffet's to "no restaurant" saves about $300 USD for four people, so it is for sure charging more for it on this package.

It makes me keep breakfasts on days 2 and 3 (the 3rd not being a park day), but if I change all the rest of the dining to "no restaurant" it brings the package down $1,300 USD to about $3,700, making it much closer to the package I originally had booked. So you basically give up an extra day at Disney Seas in exchange for the unlimited FP. It's worth it to us, because we weren't going to really use that third day due to time constraints.

One more tip, which most people know, but bit me: Check which cards have foreign transaction fees. I usually track this for travel purposes, but in a hurry to find a card that worked, used my Disney Visa, which charged 3% of the package fee. That's a ridiculously high price to pay and shows what a weak card the Disney Visa is. I usually only have it to get hotel discounts at the parks. I have other cards that would not have charged the fee, including the Delta Amex that originally worked, but wouldn't work for the second package. The worst part is that when I make changes to the package in the future, even if I use another card for the new payment, the refund back to this card will be charged the fee again! It will be nearly a $300 mistake in the end.

You will get a refund for the foreign exchange fee with the full refund. My Disney Visa was the only one that worked at first. I canceled the package, and the fee was refunded.

That's great news. Thanks!
