New Vacation Package available - July 2nd for Nov 2024 onwards

I would love to that those selections be defaulted to No restaurant.

There are 4 to choose for, they'll take at least 40 minutes, and I have only been able to select all 4 plus breakfast one time since this new Vacation Package went on sale a few days ago.

I have been trying for many many hours since.

I finally got to the final checkout page after 31 hours of trying! I'm going to practice more, though I hope I get this Vacation Package next year.

I got it done...once out of four windows. Crazy. Haven't gone back to try to see if choosing different ones changes the price or not...ie if the meals are included vs the privilege of booking them.

The attraction vp included breakfast and was clear about that. Same as the and more vp where breakfast was included, but the other meals were only reservations.

I wish it would let you book the package and then pick the rides and food options. I realize the price can very based on selections, but that additional amount could be charged at the time you make the selections. In reality, the best thing companies could do is invest more money in servers that can handle the amount of traffic they see on busy days. There are plenty of solutions that scale up as needed. That, and making it so the waiting room only let's in the amount of people their servers can actually handle at any one time, which is the entire point of having a waiting room to begin with. Or, be more creative, and stop releasing things like this to everyone on the same day. If you had told me twenty years ago that in 2024, companies would still be using servers that took someone hours (ten in my case) to book a very simple vacation package, I wouldn't have believed it. There really isn't any excuse for this in 2024.

I have been trying for two days to book the new 3 day/2 night package. Here is what finally worked: I was able to get on at about 10:30AM after about an hour wait. I am using Firefox on my imac. I logged in first. Note that the web site says you need a Disney log-in password which is 8 characters and includes both numbers and letters. I changed my password beforehand because it originally did not meet this criteria. I originally was trying to book the reservation while on several devices at a time. For this time, I was just logged into my imac only. I also had everything else on my imac closed to try to ensure the fastest possible processing time. Once I got in, things loaded fairly well without too much waiting. I used a Chase Sapphire Visa card with no problems.

I found an open date for the unlimited FP package two days after the date we have booked. I picked the dining that looked the least expensive and for the exact same room it is $5,000 U.S. compared to the $3,500 we paid for the limited package. None of the dining options were good and would require going back to hotels to eat meals, making them pretty useless to us. We could rearrange other plans to make this work. I just need to decide if it is really worth it. I don't care about getting on more rides, but like the idea of not having set times or being on our phones to grab passes. It would be pretty cool to experience the park organically and just ride what we want when we want to ride it.

I grabbed the reservation so I could decide which to keep. For what it is worth, the Amex didn't work this time, but the Disney Visa worked without any pre-notification to my card company.

That’s a huge difference in cost…

I know! That's why I am on the fence. I can fit it in our budget, but don't want to be stupid either. The one thing that has me thinking is that it's almost like a private tour in the U.S., but without a guide, which is a bonus in my book. If I look at it that way, it's not that bad. But I am know I am justifying it too.

Edit: If we ended up using some of the meals, that could also make it more reasonable. I just don't know that we would. Need to look at that closer.

I would compare it to a VIP tour as well. It's a total luxury and meant to give an option to experience the parks in a way that you couldn't really pay for otherwise (at least as a foreign tourist). I'd happily read anyone's review of the experience and live vicariously :hyper:

Is it determined that meals are included is chosen then? Haven't taken the effort to return to the booking until things settle down.

Our difference for 4 persons at FS same room for even more was about 500$ total higher compared to attractions package. That package made it clear breakfast is included in the travel case.

It seems that breakfast is included, but the lunch and dinner selections change your package price. However, lunch and dinner are mandatory with the "Enjoy Even More Attractions" package, so you don't have a choice. I was just playing with mine and picking one different dinner option would have made the package go up by $300 U.S., while changing one lunch option made it go down by $10. So not really included, but mandatory at the same time.

It's pretty easy to get to the MiraCosta and Fantasty Springs hotels from Disney Sea's, right? What about Disneyland Hotel from Disneyland? If so, I think we might be able to use our meals, since all the meals are in the hotels corresponding to the parks we will be in. That might make it a little more appealing to me, since it would cover two lunches and two dinners - but it really does limit our options for where to eat too. I'm going to sit on it for a couple of days.

I also think that recent travelers have reported being able to change their dining reservation after booking the package.

It's true. I just changed one of mine to better match where we would be that day. It was easy, other than being slow. The price went down by $10 USD though, so they refund the full amount and charge the new amount, whether it's higher or lower - it's something to consider for anyone who has lower limits on the cards they are using since you may be floating two or more charges when you start making changes. What I really want is more options in the parks. The packages have a few in each park, but they are all sold out.

Just a heads up, I’ve booked two of the and even more attractions packages for November and for all the meals, except breakfast you can click no restaurant. There’s even a notation about the package that says the in park restaurants cannot be booked yet. That’s why none show as available. The official website says select no restaurant if you want to eat in park and then to add a park restaurant when bookings open.

Does the Beverage Ticket give you free (fountain) beverages for 2 days or 3 days?

It doesn't say - it just says 1 beverage ticket per person on the list of details in the confirmation. But I think it would just be the 2 days, since you are only in the parks those days. Or does it work in the hotels too?

Do you know when the in-park meal reservations open up for the vacation packages? Is it 30 days out, like the other dining I can reserve that isn't included in the package?

After careful thought, for this first visit, we decided to keep the more expensive package, which allows unlimited FP use for the major rides without reservations. It's not so much about getting on more rides for us, but more about being able to explore the park land-by-land without worrying about being to certain rides at certain times or needing to reserve spots on our phones. I also like the idea that it won't matter too much if we get in the parks early, since we don't need to rope drop anything. It's a high premium, but a pretty cool package that we would only dream of having in the U.S. parks. It's a splurge for sure.

30 days but at 9am JT. Regular reservations open at 10am JT. Plus, you get to book for the entire length of your reservation for all days checkin to checkout. If you have multiple reservations, ie room only and VP, you will have multiple start days.

It likely depends on the package. A 3-day/2-night package should include beverages for 3 days since it includes 3 parks. The 2-day/1-night should include 2 days. Unless I'm missing something.

I honestly would have done the same if I could have completed the transaction! And I’m still checking regularly. I think of it much like the Universal Express pass - it totally changes the feel of your day to be able to do what you want, *whenever you want*, instead of frantically refreshing apps or being worried about missing reservations.
