Hello,
I run a field grown cut flower farm in the deep south. Need a good resource for technical info which I hope this forum can provide. Having recently retired, my wife and kids plan to click production up a few notches, and raise more flower varieties. I'm not a horiculturist, just learned from experience and common sense. Should this forum suite my needs? Thanks much....Gary

Welcome to the board gary..a cut flower garden?? oh, you are living my dream. not sure of what tech help we can offer, but we are a great bunch of people. hope to see you hang around.

Welcome Gary. Hopefully we can answer questions for you but it sounds like you should be able to answer some questions for us.

Hi Gary! :)

I was thinking the same thing as Mary. :)

Unless some of the Buds are keeping quiet about it, none of us are Horticulturists or Master Gardeners, we're basically hobbyists. If you
have a commercial cut flower farm, you may already have more technical expertise than most of us. :)

We'd love to hear more about your operation, and what kind of flowers you grow. :)

Thanks for the posts.....Wanting to plant some large areas of glads, but want to plant something else over them after we've cut the blooms. Don't want to waste the entire area the rest of the year. Is this advisable? Thanks

A field of black eyed susans would be beautiful and take you right into fall.
