New TV Shows - Fall Premiers - Update Your Opinion!

What time and day is it on? .I have been looking for it.

Which show? Speechless? It's on ABC on Wednesday nights at 8:30pm (EST)

Oops - posted at the same time as you. Designated Survivor is Wednesday nights at 10pm

I caught Speechless the other night and thought it was good. It's on my pvr list now.

Did anyone catch the premiere of Frequency tonight on the CW at 9pm? Wow, I really enjoyed it. I have to say the twists were surprising. The hair on the back of my neck was even raised at one point when I realized a huge ramification of one changed event. I don't want to give away too much here in case anyone plans to catch it later on OnDemand.

Didn't watch Frequency (and no more recording slots available on my DVR on Wednesdays!) but will try to watch it On Demand based on your description :)

3 episodes in to Speechless, and I have to say that is our favorite new show. I haven't seen a comedy this good in a very long time. And so much heart in it too!

Wednesday at 8:00 is rough for me. Arrow, Blindspot and Survivor. Thank goodness that Blindspot is available on demand.

MacGyvegor is a keeper for me Lethal Weapon is not keeper

Still on the fence about Designated Survivor but willing to give it a chance. Turned on Speechless last night and it is pretty good! Also caught Timeless-interested so far. And Conviction-but I like the actors in that - not sure yet about storyline.

Started Luke Cage, 2 episodes in-hoping I like it to fill time til Jessica Jones comes back.

Dropped in to say, I watched "The Good Person". I give it a so so.

Also saw "No Tomorrow", I think it was called. Um, all I can say is that is was "hot", IYKWIM o_O

So we're 10 episodes or so into the season - how are we liking everything? What are your favourites? Has anything surprised you? Updates please!

So - what have we watched so far? How did we like it?
Bull - CBS: I thought the plot of the first episode was predictable and some of the dialogue was trite but I like the premise and think it's got potential. We'll be watching it regularly. :thumbsup2
I gave this one up pretty quick, maybe because it kind of gives me the chills to think our legal system is so easily manipulated. I don't watch it anymore but DH still does. Weirdly, it's also made me view Dr. Phil in a different, unflattering light.
The Good Place - NBC: Despised this show beyond words. It's been deleted from my DVR and we shall never speak of it again.
Never watched an episode other than the premier and never will.
This is Us - NBC: Really, really liked it, especially when the common thread binding the characters "dawned" on me. I'm hoping it'll be good enough to replace Parenthood, which we've missed ever since it wrapped. :woohoo:
Went from loved it to like it - it's no replacement for Parenthood.
We also started watching Better Things and Atlanta, both on FX. Didn't even get through the premier episodes. We won't be watching either one of them again.
At the time this thread was started there were still several shows that hadn't premiered yet. We watched many of them and two have become our new favourites: Designated Survivor and Pitch. Neither are at the top of the ratings but I sure hope they both make it through the full season and are renewed.

Several I set up to record I gave up 10 mins into the first epsisode. My DD really likes Timeless but for whatever reason I can't seem to make myself watch it. I've stuck with two, This is Us and Lethal Weapon. I get excited when I see a new episode from both on the TiVo. Waiting for Chicago Justice to start. I watch all the others, Fire, PD and Med so I'm sure I'll be watching it regularly especially since Antonio is moving over to it. We joke Chicago Vet will be next.

"Designated Survivor" has been picked up for the full season. So has "This is Us." I'm struggling with "Timeless" but it's growing on me. It's also been picked up for the full season.

I know Michael Weatherly is good-looking and all that, but I just don't care for his arrogance. I think "Bull" is an appropriate title there. I read it will also be around for the whole season.

Yeah, I think the premise of "Bull" is interesting, but it could go stale pretty quickly. Is every client really innocent? I get that everyone is entitled to the best defense they can get, and if you're rich, you are free to use all the resources you can bring to obtain a not guilty verdict. And believe me, the resources that Dr. Bull's team uses would easily cost millions--a mirror jury alone would be a huge expense, not to mention all that technology and staff.

We're loving Speechless. We have special needs kids and my son gets a kick out of pointing out the things that I've done that are the same as the mom in the show.

Love

Yeah, every person being innocent really is stretching it for me. But not every client has been rich - they did one case as a favor for a judge, and if I recall another, they were approached by the victim's family but ended up working for the defense. But I could see this show getting stale very fast.

I'm still loving Designated Survivor. Last night's episode was awesome.

I'm in the minority - I really don't like This is Us. I know, must be something wrong with me. Just not my cup of tea.
