 No offence to the men in our lives but jeepers it seems like every time i hear about a man having a prostate test it's covered. Viagra is coverd but BC is not completely or is for a few months and then not and now they question infertility. Make's no sence really.

So I'm back on the tinkle strips. :sad2: I was a little concerned last night because my blood sugars have been spiking the last couple of days and that's not like me. I've hit 500+ 3 days in a row and I NEVER do that. Must be fighting something cause i was achy yesterday. I'm doing more blood sugar tests to make sure everything stays lower. At least I know I can call the DR tomorrow if it doesnt stop. I'm also gonna change my pump sight as that could do it to. Crazy, this stuff I can figure out no problem, the other stuff not so much. . .

Allison ~ my fingers are crossed for you that tomorrow goes well!

Courtney ~ Im hoping that I set this up right next month. Starting at 6 AM / 6:30 AM is right for me too. Just frustraitng.

KiKi Mouse ~ Thanks I agree! Not temping yet. The calander says I should be ovulating this week but I am convinced that I start later cause of how i feel so I am trying to check with the strips. How are you feeling?

si-am ~ That's great that your dr actually gets it and knows how to code things. we need more like that.

Hope you alll are doing well! :grouphug:pixiedust:

Slow in here!

Aurora - when is your first doctor's appointment? I thought it was mid-month. How are you feeling?

My BFF was just dx with PCOS so she is on BC for a month. She started Metformin, too. anyone have any experience with it? She said it makes her incredible nauseated...to the point where she wants to stop taking it..

I had PCOS and took Metformin (ovulated and got a BFP within 3 weeks) after years of infertility. I had some digestive issues at first which subsided after a couple of weeks. I have also heard it is better to take Metformin with food - a meal or large snack.

Just checking in with you guys. Been reading, but not much posting. I'm trying not to think too much about TTC this month. Last month I thought about it 24/7 and that just stressed me out. Of course, BFN. So this past month I've spent very little time thinking and it's been nice! But I am 14-15dpo, 2 BFNs, but no AF, temp rise. :confused3

Thanks Denae! I just passed that info onto my BFF.

Allison - ((((hugs)))) on the BFN's. TTC sucks!!! How's your sweet little girl? Getting into her terrible 2/almost 3's like my Noah is?? He is a HANDFUL some days! Like he is suddenly an indepedent, opinionated little man!

It's crazy when you count down the hours til your next FMU. :)

Scooner isn't into them too bad. She definitely has the I wants and Gimmes like yours! But overall she's my sweet girl still. Which obviously means the 3s are going to be horrid...or the 16s. Not sure which is worse!!

Well, I went in yesterday and had an ultrasound. Everything was fine, and I got permission to come off the progesterone (woohoo!!). Other than that-literally nothing. I was expecting to talk due date, flu shots, etc. and he had to run to do a retrieval. While I certainly want that person to get what they need, I was a little frustrated since yesterday I had to start paying copays again, for like a 2 second visit. I go back on Tuesday for another ultrasound (not expecting anything more this time) and then I think they release me to the real doctor. Thanks for asking-I'm not posting much on here now. I'm still reading and I'll keep reading to answer questions if I can!

I've been on Metformin for insulin resistance since October of 2007. For the first few months it made me feel awful. I actually didn't take it during our trip to WDW in February of 2008 because I didn't want to feel bad. I actually stopped taking it all together when I got fed up with TTC and all the BFNs. I figured why take something that was making me feel terrible when it wasn't even working. I, of course, have started taking it regularly when we started with the IUI stuff in the spring. If it take it with food, I'm usually fine. Every now and then I'll have stomach problems, especially if I don't eat, but nothing like it was in the beginning. I don't get headaches or nausea any more either.

Aurora,

How many weeks are you now? What do they look for on early ultrasounds?

Me...14 weeks and praying...I rented a doppler which has helped reduce my level of psychosis. my FIL told us this weekend it's time for us to enjoy this but I can't let go yet.

I'm 7 weeks today. They were primarily looking for number and to make sure it was growing, I guess, and a heartbeat, if you can see one that early. I went about 4 days after I was supposed to. Not much to see, but I think they're looking to see if anything is there at all.

Aurora - do did all look good on your ultrasound? That's really frustrating that your doc had to run out on you!!! Hope all continues to go well and WOO HOO on being done with progesterone! How are you feeling?

My BFF (with the Metformin nausea) was given anti-nausea suppositories to take and she said its been a miracle so far!

Her next cycle will be the test - Metformin + IUI + Clomid (well...a form of Clomid that starts with an "L"...I cannot remember what its called). Please keep Melissa and Nick in your prayers! I hate IF - and having been through it 2x....I feel her pain so deeply :(

What little we saw looked fine. I feel fine right now.

vettechick....Sorry about the BFN. I always tend to wake up MUCH earlier when I know I plan on testing. It's like Christmas morning...I'm so excited I can't sleep. BTW...my name is allison, too!

I had my follicle scan today (CD13). I had a 25mm!! OMG! I also had 3 16mm, but two of them were funky shaped (16x8). My lining was 8ish. The u/s tech thought that may be too big. I haven't had a positive OPK yet, so my Dr said we're doing IUI Friday morning! I triggered this afternoon...it took the nurse 6 calls to pharmacies to find one with HCG! Crazy! She said she's going to bring up at their next meeting that they should keep a couple of viles at the office. Thankfully we found a pharmacy with it. It was a across town, but I managed to get back to the office by 4:30 so that they could give me the shot.

The past two IUIs we did 24 hours after trigger, but this time it will be about 36 hrs. Since the other plan didn't work, my Dr wants to try it this way. My Dr will actually be doing the IUI this time! The other two happened over the weekend, so they were at the hospital with different on-call drs. Maybe she'll bring me good luck!

hey allison!! GL with all your procedures. I've got happy thoughts going your way!

Another BFN and AF is here. Oh well...on to another cycle. I'm on #3, and it took 7 with Scooner, so less than 4 to go. Right? ;)

Good luck to everyone!

Allison the skuttle: 25?? That's crazy! The HCG shots are always insanely difficult to find. They make a big deal about the shelf life, but as long as they are refrigerated, it's long. Out of the fridge, it's like 30 days. One night I needed one. I had ordered it through my usual pharmacy. I go to pick it up and they had put a stop on the order (no idea why) and didn't have it, couldn't get it for 2 days. I needed it the next morning!! They called and found me one, but it was an ordeal getting the prescription transferred and insurance wouldn't cover it there, etc. Ugh. I've read good things about 36hr transfers. That's the length of time they wait to do IVF retrieval from the trigger.

Allison the vettechick-Hopefully it won't be 7 this time! It's definitely not a fun wait, and BFNs stink. It almost becomes an internal thing to me-like I'm personally negative each time. That's why I started refusing to take tests at home.

Surrounded by pregnant women. Some with barely 1 year between kids. AF arrives early. Baby sales in the newspaper ads. Newborns everywhere I look....What kind of torture is this?

D&D  It sucks, I know! DH always says I just notice it more because of our IF, but I think he's wrong. I really think they are everywhere!! Yesterday at the Dr, I was stuck sitting next to this hugely pregnant girl, her husband, and her mom...all were so excited because she's being induced next week. Ugh. Their excitement was killing me! I keep thinking about my BFF that's due in October...wondering if she'll have her 2nd before me. :sad2:

I have a girlfriend who is due in the next couple of weeks. We both met our DHs around the same time, actually the same day:).

Yes babies are everywhere I agree. It doesn't make me to sad though because unless I know their story your not sure of how that baby came to be ya know? Um then of course we all have that friend that gets pregnant when their husband looks at them! :rolleyes2:crazy:

I think it's time for a beer. . .:drinking1

I know soooo many pregnant people right now. I could count on both hands and maybe on some toes how many friends and aquaintances I have that are knocked up. I know it's our age group and we're all having kids, but it seems almost weird!

baby dust to all. Our time will come!!
