It's not the procedure itself I'm worried about. It's being sedated that scares me. My son's first t-ball may be the next day. Will I be able to go?

I was out messing around in my garden the afternoon of my morning surgery. I didn't feel any more discomfort than regular period cramps and I don't think I took anything stronger than regular iburpofen. I think you will be fine.

My RE let me see pictures of the inside of my uterus, which was really cool - a lot cooler than the pictures of the inside of my nose that the ENT showed me this week. Ewwwww. :lmao:

boltfans - congrats!

If you're concerned about the sedation, try to relax. I know that's easier said than done, but if it's in a dr's office, then it isn't going to be anesthesia where you have to be intubated or anything, and that alone makes it easier. I was sedated (to where I truly thought I was asleep) for my wisdom teeth and I was totally fine later that day. My husband (and I think I mentioned he's an anesthesiologist) said that they give you a medicine that causes amnesia so you'll totally forget the procedure, and just remember sort of drifting off. You'll be completely awake and alert during the procedure, but will have no pain and no memory of it later, just as if you were put to sleep for it. The benefit (as I also had general anesthesia for sinus surgery) is that you won't have the scratchy throat from being intubated, and you won't have the scary aspect of having to 'wake up' from anesthesia.

I really hope the whole thing goes smoothly for you and that it is just 1 cycle you have to sit out, not 2. When do you get a definite date for the procedure?

I too was out and about the next day with the first surgery. Not much pain.
Good luck Skuttle!

Boltfans - :yay: for you.

Aurora - Saw your other thread on adoption. Wish you the best on your decision whatever you choose. Adoption has its ups and downs but so does giving birth.

Got the 2WW or should I say 2WDA (2 week disappointment anticipation) going on here. Always feel sooooo close to a good outcome but yet so far. :guilty:

Hi D & D. I'm also in the 2WW. 2WDA is an accurate description unfortunately up till this point. I am hoping this is the one! One week down, one week to go.

I should take a poll on how many days ahead I will break down and test, how many tests per day, and how much money I will spend. :sad2:

As always, babydust to everyone! pixiedust:

Hi guys.

Aurora - Good Luck on your decision. I read up on your other thread.
Chloe - Good luck

I just exited the TTW for the 8th month. Probably not much going on for the next few months. We are moving next Friday back up to MA and staying with family for a few months. DH is going to be traveling for work so our timing will be difficult. That's ok though ... I guess. We shall see.

I know what you mean about the 2WDA, it truly was like that every month over the past year. Even though I had just gone back to the OB to get some feedback on what to do next, I was seriously considering taking a break for awhile if nothing happened this month. It's really just so stressful and I needed time off from all the emotions.

Good luck to everyone in the next week or so! I hope this is the month for you ladies too!

Boltfans: Thanks! That's sorta what I read when I googled it. ;) Google is my worst enemies at times! I have to wait until AF arrives to call the nurse and then set up the procedure. It has to be done after I stop bleeding but before CD10. We (me and the nurse) are hoping it works out to where I can have it done on Friday so that i can have the weekend to recover as needed. Today is CD27, so AF will probably arrive on Sunday. I took a HPT this morning just for the heck of it since it was an old test...BFN of course. Not sure why I even bothered. I guess part of me was thinking about everything I've read that HSGs sometimes help with fertility.

Sounds like I'll be fine for DS's T-ball game. I'm glad to hear that! I haven't told my parents that I'm having this procedure done because I don't want to talk to them about our TTC problems. Plus, my mom would worry way too much. She'd probably come up here on my surgery day! The last thing I want is someone asking me how's it going every few weeks. Hopefully I'll be okay and they won't even be able to tell I had something done!

I'm in the 2WDA (love the term, D&D-so fitting for most of us). Today is CD15. It would be lovely if the clomid would work.

skuttle-it sounds like Friday might work, timing wise! Hopefully it will, just knowing you have a recovery cushion can be helpful, even if you don't really need it!

I know what you mean about the 2WDA, it truly was like that every month over the past year.

A year is a long time but try many many years of disappointment anticipation. That's even worse. :guilty:
I'll stop crying in my beer now.

Ugh. I am so aggravated! AF should have arrived today, but so far nothing. I didn't even have the spotting I normally have the day before. Ugh! The past few months I have been like clockwork...spotting on CD28 then AF arrives on CD29. I took an old HPT I had left over from a few months ago this morning (CD29) and it was a BFN. So now I'm assuming I'm not pregnant, but AF is deciding to show up late and screw up my plans to have the procedure done on Friday. :furious: AF has to be over before they'll do the procedure.

That stinks!

Maybe its a false negative.

:grouphug: to everyone.

I'm still waiting here. I have no idea, I feel very positive one minute, and give up the next. One more week and we'll know for sure. I think I will start with my crazed testing on Thursday, Friday if I am good.

AF arrived today, so hopefully one day won't make a huge difference and I'll be able to have the procedure done on Friday. My Dr and her nurse are out on Mondays, so I'll call them tomorrow and see if we can set stuff up for Friday. Usually AF is gone after 4 days, so hopefully we can do it on Friday. We have to do it before CD10.

Tomorrow is our 9th anniversary, but we're going out tonight to celebrate since DS is at my SIL's house. We're going out to Texas de Brazil...Yum!!

Hi Skuttle. Happy Anniversary! Have a great time at dinner.

I'll cross my fingers that Friday will work out as planned for you!!!

Happy Anniversary!! Enjoy and I Hope that everything works out for Friday.

Happy Anniversary Skuttle! I hope it works out so you can still get your procedure done on Friday.

Intro: ttc#2, me-41 and dh43.
We have a DD 12.
DD took about 1.5 yrs to conceive. She was healthy, normal, full-term baby after an uneventful pregnancy.
We have suffered 3 miscarriages since DD -- 2 very early in the pregnancy and 1 a little further along.

Here's hugs  & pixie dust :wizard: to all you ttc-ers out there!
I hope this is everyone's lucky cycle!

What the heck????? AF shows up a week early. :sad2: What's going on here? So the 2WDA is now just 1 week. Stupid body is so messed up. :headache:

D&D - That happened to me a few months ago, then things were normal for a few months so who knows. Hopefully it is a one time fluke with the end of school and everything.

Skuttle - Hope you had a nice anniversary and a good dinner. Good luck on Friday.

Chloe - Fingers crossed.

Mouselover - Welcome - I have 2 boys 10 and 7 and have been trying for #3 for five years. I had a couple of chemical pregnancies and a miscarriage at 15weeks a year ago.

Dmickey28 - Good luck with your move. I grew up south of Boston and have thought many times of moving home, the cost of living always got to me though. Plus we love Colorado.

Aurora - It sounds like you are saving money pretty quickly. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

The boys and I leave Saturday for WDW. I am taking my nieces (5 and 3) for their first trip. DMIL is coming with me so it should make for an interesting trip.
