Our day will continue & we might just actually make it through lunch here!!
But first the update on the pup. She did pull through and make it. She came home yesterday and while still a little weak- she is recovering nicely. She has some meds for a month and then she should be good to go.
Course the day I get the pup back, the kid comes down with the flu. So I have one kid sick and I'm waiting for the dominos to fall............. which one will be next?!?
BACK TO DISNEY- because that's what this report is all about after all!
We were leaving circus land and into our FP+ Ressie for Enchanted Tales with Belle.
Now THIS was (finally) a good use of my FP+. I admit I had a learning curve on these and I failed on many fronts. Not this one. The stand by line was like 70 minutes. I had heard SO many reviews about this new attraction and all of them raving so I was excited to give it a go.
It turns out, while cute, it really wasn't QUITE what I expected. And though I saw it once, I don't have any desire to waste a future FP+ on it or stand in long lines.
First you are shuffled into Maurice's cottage where you are transported then to Belle's room... with the talking wardrobe.

Volunteers are taken for 'parts'. Sarah and Charlie wanted nothing to do with that. Becca and Peter's DD wanted a lot to do with that. Neither got picked for the bigger parts, but there are parts for all.. so they got small bits.. Becca was a plate....
They moved us into a bigger room for the 'play'
Lumiere starts to tell the story.

Soon Belle joins him...

Two of the girls listen intently.

Then it's their turn for being part of a parade....

And then it was a glorified meet & greet with Belle.

Clearly, Charlie is not impressed with this thing either. And is very glad she didn't wait for 70 minutes.
Wow, I bored myself even writing that... good thing there were a few pictures to break it up.
After that, we still had some time before our lunch reservation and so we decided to hit another ride with Peter and fam.
A favorite of all of ours except the Disney kill-joy (aka- the hubby). He despises the ride- therefore, we ALWAYS ride it at least 10 times. bwahahahaha.
I'm an anglophile- so I choose THIS one to put in my TR- even though- well, it's out of focus.

These screens are new.

I suspect they will soon be emitting probing laser beams towards the happiest cruisers on earth to access all our info out of our Magicbands... wishing us a goodbye by name. And then automatically subtracting a $50 convenience fee to do so.... just a theory.
This ride, my friends, (much to hubby's HORROR) turned out to be little Char's favorite ride all vacation long. She asked constantly to go on the 'yellow ride' (she saw yellow boats.)
Because 'it's a Small World After All....'. I just too a small break to sing it in my hubby's ear.
We had a quick stop at the new Tangled bathrooms. So much hype over bathrooms. (All Disney fans please cover your eyes.. but... the Harry Potter bathrooms with Moaning Myrtle are waaaaay better!)

The details are cute though...

We said our goodbyes to Skier-Pete with plans to meet up later- and headed to our much awaited lunch reservations at the new 'must-do', 'highly-rated' restaurant.. Be Our Guest.
By getting lunch ressies we bypassed a long line...

Smiling because..no line!
Loved the gargoyles...

Past the suits of armor..

And in to order....

Then came the very difficult task of not only ordering but deciding WHAT DESSERTS TO HAVE?!?! After deciding... we headed into find a table and wait for our food.
They gave us a 'rose' but it's all show folks. They pretty much told us they hone in on our Magicbands. Those who think Disney created these for the good of us are sorely mistaken. They created them to be used as tracking devices so if we steer in the wrong direction (away from gift shops) they can shock us like those electric dog collars. Kidding, of course.. .but not on the honing thing- They really did use our Magic Band (and not the rose) to track down our location in the gigantic restaurant.
We set off to explore and wanted 'West Wing'

but it was full..and so we settled for a table in the main ballroom...

Got our drinks (only QS place with fill your own cups!!) and soon our food was here.
I was HIGHLY impressed with the food here. I thought it was VERY, VERY good.
I got the ham and cheese thing...

Kurt got a French Dip

You can see mom's salad over in the corner.
The kids got Turkey I think...

Notice the rose.. still sitting there..unused and abandoned by newer magicband technology.
Then. The best.. oh, the best... Dessert!!!

We got a chocolate éclair, a strawberry cupcake & the lemon meriange.(sp?) You will all be glad to know, that because I'm such a loving, devoted mother... I allowed my children a small bite of them. And then ate all three myself.
I feel only a little guilt because they were SO GOOD. I am putting them through college, that's better than cupcakes, right?
Tummy full with only positive things to say.. I headed to find some Hidden Mickey's and explore the last room...

Outside the 'royal' bathrooms...

I concurred with general Dis-opinion on this restaurant- I really enjoyed the atmosphere, food & experience. I'd give it two thumbs up icons but I'm already at 25 images. So just imagine them.
And so that concludes about 1.5 hours of Beauty and the Beast fun! We had a little time left over before our Peter Pan FP so we rode Small World again before riding.
And finally headed out of Fantasyland for more adventures in the Magic Kingdom.......
