New to the off-site thing

The flight times available for the days we wanted to fly would have made us miss the first day of our vacation. So, we booked the flight down a day earlier, and are now trying to find an off-site place to sleep before the fun begins.

I have only ever stayed on-site before, and we're DVC members now, so I had never imagined all of the choices available. I don't even know about the various areas where the hotels are located, because we don't really do off-site attractions or shopping.

So, we have a party of five - myself, my husband, my 11 month old daughter, and my parents in law. Since it is just for the night, we'd be willing to sleep together in one room, but a suite or two rooms might be slightly better.

After doing some basic research, I think that I've narrowed it down to Best Western Eastgate, Comfort Suites Maingate East, and Four Points Sheraton lakeside. I would have jumped at the Courtyard rate and booked two rooms, but we're going in November on a Saturday night.

Any opinions or suggestions?

TIA

You could do Priceline for two rooms. Bid on the Disney Vicinity Area and you will have the first night near WDW (or possibly next to Downtown Disney). Do not bid on one room as they only guarentee a room for 2 people ( 1 bed). I have had great hotels through Priceline.

I won the Best Western LBV in DD for $25 for next weekend. I am really excited to land a great rate. I have two rooms reserved. I bid exactly like the above poster states to bid.
