New to DDP a quick question

Hi all,

this is the first time I have book with DDP, I am due to go Sept 2013 which is ages away but so excited I thought I would start planning a little bit. Looking at next years proposed DDP restaurants and there are a few places that are not showing that were available in 2012 particularly at DTD, eg. Raglan Road and Wolfgang Puck Express.

Now I was wondering does this normally happen and Disney add on restaurants as time goes by or is this a pretty set deal? I'm pretty clueless as to how this works

Hmm...I'm not sure about Wolfgang Puck, but I know in the past Raglan Road has been included. I find it odd that it's not included. Just last week when I booked our reservation, the CM noted that most of the DTD restaurants were now on the DDP.

The restaurants not owned by Disney sign contracts to be included in the dining plan---Disney will not put them on the list until the contract is signed...Wolfgang Puck has been part of the plan forever and I don't see why they would not be in 2013....

deakm is right... they wait to list them until after they sign contracts. Some years they don't sign until it's actually IN 2013, it varies.


One thing though, if you are asking about Wolfgang Puck Express, it has been on the DDP for a long time and would seem to be a safe bet it will be back. The upstairs WP dining room was just added this year as a 2 cred Signature meal, but who knows if it will be back on next year. There were several DTD restaurants added in 2012... here's hoping they get them to sign on for 2013 as well

Rarely do restaurants drop off the dining plan. If anything, more will be added

Thanks everyone! As I said it's my first time using the DDP and was a little disappointed when a few places that had been recommended to be weren't showing. I'll just keep my fingers crossed they keep adding (although it will make my final decision MUCH more difficult)
