New Things to Experience/Do?

I can't even count the number of times I've gone to WDW with my family--although fun, I have found out through this board we had been missing out on so much! I know some of these things are newer, but we always went commando-style and never stopped to smell the roses.

In no particular order, here are the things I can't wait to do this September with my husband:

1. ride Test Track
2. ride Mission Space
3. Keys to the Kingdom Tour
4. Segway Tour
5. Stay at WL
6. Beaches & Cream
7. Boardwalk
8. Animal Kingdom & eat at Jivo
9. Disney Quest
10. Wishes
11. FW campfire and outdoor movie
12. rent mouse boat
13. Cirque Du Soleil
14. explore the WS, not just rush through
15. eat at Morocco instead of ALWAYS eating at Italy
16. look for hidden mickies
17. check out all the "secrets" I learned from you guys!

This thread is getting me so excited :hyper: as I look over all the wonderful things we'll be doing on our next trip! Have fun everyone!

-Laura :wave2:

New things for our next trip we have never done:

1. MNSSHP
2. Character breakfast (probably Chef Mickey's)
3. Stay at the Poly!! (Can't wait)
4. Start WS at Canada and go around instead of starting at Mexico. I don't think I've ever really seen the UK and Canada pavillions (except for a quick walk-by) because we were always too tired or didn't have enough time to finish.
5. Wishes!!
6. Hopefully ride Test Track -- still trying to convince DD who will be 8 she can handle it. DS who will be 5 is ready to ride it today!!

Here are some new experiences for us to see on our 3rd trip to Disney:

Mickey's Philharmagic

Going in Sept. and cannot wait to see what else I have missed!:hyper:

This past April, we did the following things that we've never done before:
- Pressed Pennies
- Pin trading
- Cape May character breakfast
- ITTBAB (can't believe we've never done this before!)
- first time at a deluxe BW!
- first time for Jungle Cruise for DS
- those remote control boats (? Ned's shrunken boats?) outside of Jungle Cruise
- Shootin' Gallery in Frontierland

Some of these were small things that we just didn't make time for in previous trips, like the pressed pennies (a BIG hit and they don't take as much time as we always thought they would), Ned's boats (DS has always wanted to do this, and we finally relaxed enuf that we let him spend a lot of time doing it) and the Shootin' Gallery, which even my 14 yr old DD loved. Next time, we have Tom Sawyer's Island on our list of HAVE to do's; as many times as we've gone, we've never done this.

besides seeing Wishes, riding Mission Space, seeing Mickey's Philharmagic and maybe Stitch because all of these are new since our last trip May 03:

- we are doing breakfast at CMC
- breakfast at Kona Cafe
- will try a beaver tail
- will try a dole whip

and last but not least:
- in-laws... could be interesting.....

We won't be taking another trip for at least another 3 years, but I'm already planning!!

-Taking DD on Space Mtn for the 1st time!
-Watching the ELP with my kids (only caught the last part of it
when we went in May!)
-Visiting other resorts
-Riding Splash, JC and BTMRR at night
-visiting the water parks for the first time
-looking for all the hidden mickeys and "secret" things I have
found on this website!
-seeing the look on DS face when he sees Mickey for the 1st
time!!

Only 1095 days or so to go!!!

New things we are planning:

Camping at Fort Wilderness

Hoop De Doo Revue

Sci-Fi at MGM

50's Prime Time at MGM

Garden Grill (with Rehitchin' Ceremony) - we are not telling the kids (DD18, DS15, 9 & 9) that we are doing this!

Character Breakfast at CP

Can't wait for all the new memories!

This year we all did something new!

For me it was finally getting up the nerve to ride RNRC!! I loved it and cant wait to go again.

For DH it was BTMRR, Splash, Dinosaur and Test Track (he is a scaredy cat when it comes to rides).

For DDs it was Test Track - they loved it and wanted to ride it over and over but the line was SO long and the Fast Passes ran out early.

Have fun!!! We plan to try BOMA this December when we stay at AKL. YUMMMMMMMMM!

Kelley

I don't feel bad now. So many of you have been more times than I and still haven't seen everything. After reading everyone's list I am glad I have another trip planned for January!!

Riding bikes around Ft. Wilderness and mini-golf at one of the courses, that's what we'll do for the first time in November!

Bobbi:D

Have you ever done benchmark sightings? Its kinda like geocaching, or using your gps... when dh and ds's go to the mts, they found the marks and were able to buy a facsimile as a souvenier, some are on their key chains...

Here's a link... http://www.wintertime.com/OH/GC/Disney/disneymarks.html#MK

if I knew how you post pics here I would post the pic she has on her sight...

they are kinda like Hidden Mickeys. really special!!

What a neat website, eeyore45! Thanks for sharing. I think I'll try finding some of these in the fall. I'm curious, though. Where did you buy your facsimiles? I like to have one, too, as a souvenir.

Pat

105 days and counting . . . again!

We did SO many new things on our last trip to WDW (2nd week of June). This was our longest trip yet, and we had family with us, so I didn't feel bad about going on the big rides when they watched the kids. I finally got to try Space Mt, BTMRR, RnRC, ToT, M:S, and Test Track. We also tried the Land, Circle of Life (love it), Buzz, Philharmagic (best thing at MK -- I think), Magic Carpets, Spectro, Wishes, Cindy's Table (wonderful), Railroad, Peter Pan's Flight, Typhoon Lagoon, PI, Le Cellier, Tangerine Cafe (recommended), WWTBM, Voyage of Little Mermaid, and Playhouse Dis (kid's favorite).

Things we wanted to try, but weren't able to this time were: Liberty Belle, Pirates, Stitch (of course), Illuminations, France movie, American Adventure, Primeval Whirl, Fantasmic, MGM parade, Boma, Beaches and Cream, try beaver tail, Flame Tree BBQ, a character meal, stay at non-value resort (we stayed at Pop this last time -- not bad). We'd also like to go to DisneyQuest and Winter Summerland. We'll have to try harder next time we go to get these in.

My Favorite of all the First I will do this trip is...
Take My DD 4 for her first time!!

I can't wait to see the World through her.

Have lots of others planned I haven't been since '97.

New things for us to do 2nd trip:

1. Chef Mickey's Character Dinner, arrival night

2. CRT breakfast, 2nd day (I DID get PS!! this year woo-hoo!!)

3. Whispering Canyon, lunch

4. Family Magic Tour, MK (heard it's fun!)

5. Typhoon Lagoon instead of Blizzard Beach

6. France, Epcot for pastries (missed that last year!)

That's about it for now..can't think of anything else...same as last year....have lots and lots of fun!!!!!!!!!:sunny:
