New Shower heads at BCV

Why would they change the shower heads to inferior shower heads in the 1 bdr? We just got back from an interesting trip to the BCV's. This is our favorite home at WDW and have never had the problems we had this trip. I will say that management stepped up and really fixed everything right away.

But back to my point, I hate the new hand held shower heads in the 1bdr. They have very little water strength and the water heat was also bad. My parents stayed in the connecting studio and they had the old shower head so I used their shower. You would think they would go with quality if they are going to replace. I have a beautiful hand held shower head in my home that has great pressure and multiple functions. It cost my $39 at Menard's. You would think they could get them really cheap in bulk.

Thanks for letting me vent

lowflow= $$ savings...yet another fleecing of the guest experience at disney.
We had them last month and hated them...barely any pressure..felt like you
were still soapy when you get out.
they stink

Are you certain that was not a partial HA room? I think handheld showerheads are common in HA rooms...

It sounds like you were in an HA room or else a room that someone required a handheld shower head and it was not taken out after they left.

We were in a 1BR at BCV in early Oct and the showerhead was a standard one.

It's probably better than the ones at BLT... they hurt you! I think I'll bring one from home next time! The shower head in our 1br at BCV last December was OK.

I am thinking that it also was an HA room....or a guest switched the shower head and didn't switch it back (you wouldn't believe what people do at DVC's)......

I don't think you would see them put in hand held showers through the resorts, they wouldn't last very long with the amount of use and abuse they get.

You can adjust the "strength" of the flow at BLT, at least in the master bath. Once slightly adjusted, I found the shower heavenly.

The shower was not a roll in shower, we were in room 310/312 and they are not listed as handicap rooms. I actually looked when I saw the shower head and with most HA rooms you have lower sinks, kitchen counters, and two view holes ion the door. Someone must have requested it and they did not remove it.

That was one of the problems with our stay, they texted me that the room was ready and the room number and we went to the room. We waited until 4 pm for them to let us know which I do not mind because the rules say that they don't have to check us in until 4. When we got to the room they were still in the room cleaning and they were no where near done. The probably rushed and forgot to remove it.

ours was a regular non dvc room this trip. It was one of the rainshower heads you can buy at that disney resort collection place.
It was adjustable but if you did the setting where it was more powerful you had water the diameter of a quarter coming out....if you did the rain part
the water spread out nicely but you sacrifice the pressure...they were terrible..
Hopefully our dvc room in april doesnt have it.

Just back from BWV and the shower head was very nice! I have not liked them there previously, before renovation. (I was seriously thinking about bringing a spare shower, but have never followed through.)

If its any consolation to you, they sounds better then the Silkwood sandblasting showerhead we just had at BLT.

I figured this out half way through our week. You have to find the "sweet spot".
