New shop in DTD Marketplace

Hot off the press in this weeks All Ears! There is a new shop just opened in DownTown Disney Market Place. It sounds great! Here is the information I have about it:

A new shop, Mickey's Mart - "Everything Ten Dollars and Under," opened Thursday, November 11, 2004, at the Downtown Disney Marketplace. Mickey's Mart, found between Disney Tails and Disney at Home in the old Discover Garden Shop location, features unique gifts, as well as Surprise Grab Bags and Items of the Week

Located between "Pooh's Corner" and "Disney at Home" is a new souvenir location where everything is under $10. The name of the shop is "Mickey's Mart" and I was informed by a Cast Member that they just opened the location that day (this past Thursday). I think that this new shop is a great place to take children who have been saving up their money to buy their own souvenirs or gifts for friends. As I mentioned, all the items are under $10 and there are even offers such as "Buy 4 for $10" and even a "SURPRISE" goody bag in which you do not know the contents of the bag until you buy it

Bit like Poundland at WDW

I can't wait to see what's in the surprise bags!!

Before you get to excited, they've just moved some things that would already cost under $10 from World of Disney and put it in the new area. I didn't see anything that I could get at the other store. No big sales. I will admit that I didn't buy the grab bag. I can't imagine it being worth much more than you pay for it. Sorry to be a downer!

At least I know this is a safe place for my kids to shop - ie they can't spend more than $10 on any one item, LOL

Yeah, I saw that too in the AllEars newsletter. Sounds fantastic, lets hope it has loads of stuff to bring back as presents for the kids friends etc, as well as loads of stuff for me !!!
