Greetings, all. Had a sick weekend for poor Jeff, still fighting. We also lost the kitten somewhere in the house. She is SUCH a goo dhider. I think she got out of chip's room on one of the younger kids many trips up to see if they could get me to wake up. But who knows. Chip & I wil have the grand search tonight after he gets back & I get off work.

poor poor winnie -- but at least now she will have some relief from the pain. Both times Emily broke hers she said it felt so much better once it was "held up tight Mommy"

I have been trying to put on a brave face here gang but decided I need some support now. Our Emily is not doing so well at school after all. She did ok during orientation week then the wheels fell off. She had a friend home this weekend who made things worse by tiring her out and just adding to the stress since it meant she got no homework done.

She is overwhelmed by the amount of work required and the pressure she puts on herself to do well. Her anxiety disorder is only serving to make things worse. She is secluding herself in her room and talking to me over the phone for HOURS on end. Tonight she called and was sobbing for about 1 hour. Worse thing? John had been there only 3 hours before to take her to financial aid offices. She isn't eating properly sleep patterns are sucking and if you notice by the time stamp here it is affecting mine as well. My doc is concerned about my health since i look like a raccoon from the circles under my eyes and gave me a sleeping pill -- I refuse to take it in case she calls during the night and i can't make sense when i talk to her.

Just want some gentle hugs and kind thoughts gang i know i can count on your, my 2nd family

Seriously, I am so sorry that things are so rough, send some hugs to Em too. I know it is so hard when your kids are struggling, and its awful. I'll be praying that she settles in as things get going.

I'm so sorry things aren't going well for Em. I hope they improve quickly. But, you DO need to take care of yourself too (or you'll be no good to anyone.) You could plan out with her one evening that she calls early and then have an agreement that she give you until the next day at 10am or so - and then take the pill!! Get some good rest lady. Hopefully, things will look up soon!

Good for mama for taking him in. I hear that kidney stones are similar to labor pains, so hugs for dad (once they give him some pain meds and he can stand to be touched). Hugs for you for going through this. I know it's scary when someone you love is in pain, and you feel like there's nothing you can do.

Sorry about your dad. My sympathies are with him, kidney stones are no fun! Make sure he starts drinking cranberry juice to help cut down on them! Lots of lovin' comin' your way!


Jacqueline-- So sorry about Em. Maybe you should hook her up with a counselor at school, that person may be able to hook Em up with a support group of peers with the same feelings of being overwhelmed. Maybe you could buy her a recorder to tape the classes so she doesn't feel like she missed anything. Also talking with the counselor maybe you can get an indivdual education plan worked up for her. We're doing that for ds right now, his will follow him into college. This way she maybe allowed extra time to finish classwork and homework if needed and she may not be so overwhelmed. If nothing else maybe taking less classes until she gets used to it might help. Good luck.
