NEW Rejected Offers Thread

Is his My Disney Experience login and DVC login the same email?

Do you see the DVC affiliation under his profile in My Disney Experience (Hamburger Button > Profile > Membership & Passes)?
☝️ This is the way.
You must have a personal account for both MDE and DVC membership, with identical emails for both, with the account linked to MDE.
This is what I had to do, and it worked for myself, and then my wife (after I created accounts profiles for her and linked them).
A lot of times, "welcome home!" is just hard (impossible?) to hear, Mickey's voice can easily be drowned out, maybe volume is cruddy on some of the devices?

Resort: Hilton Head
Contract Size: 270
Asking: $70
Rejected Offer: $48
Buyer pays Dues

The high dues almost made sense at this price for 11 mo booking priority.
I agree with you. I would LOVE 11 month priority there, but it’s so hard to justify the dues. I can’t bring myself to buy it unless the contract is low enough to off set it … and it never is.

Yea, i’m sure this one won’t last, and I have a bit of FOMO on it right now, but its literally the first one that has come available that fit my need to replace my old ones. So I feel like there will be more… hopefully. :-)
There will be. Dues will make people remember oh yeah I have this DVC I should probably sell

Resort: Poly
Contract Size: 75 (x2)
Asking: $151
Rejected Offer: $159

This was 2 separate contracts, pretty much identical. I don't even own Poly, nor do I necessarily want to. After seeing both the contracts, I could see a path to a Poly point strategy coming together.

I was outbid on both. Broker has thus far been reluctant to answer what the winning bid actually was.:rolleyes1

Nothing ventured, nothing lost.

You’re so close to dues announcement, find a distraction until the wave of contracts post. 😆

Resort: Aulani
Contract Size: 230
Asking: $105
Rejected Offer: $88
Seller pays Closing and Dues

That was my last offer and they chose to not counter. Instead, they pointed me to a different listing of theirs, which would have still been much more than what I was asking.

Resort: Aulani (Subsidized)
Contract Size: 220
Asking: $118
Rejected Offer: $110
Buyer pays Closing and Dues

Went to a bidding war, supposedly went for full asking.

I subsequently found two separate contracts for $88 (Buyer pays Closing, Seller pays Dues) and $117 (Subsidized) (Buyer pays Closing, Seller pays Dues).

It was listed at $139. It may or may not have sold at that price.

Earlier this year we bought 50 at BWV for $140/pt. It had full 2024 points coming in 2025, so double points to start, and all points available in future use years.

We had seen people post about smaller contracts selling for as low as $114 per point. We ultimately decided the difference in price ($1,300) was, in our opinion, made up for the fact that we got double points the first year (including 2024 points we didn't have to pay dues on). And we didn't want to sit around and wait or go back and forth. We made a full asking offer, and it was accepted right away. We had been watching for a few months, and seen a lot of "stripped" contracts, for around the same asking price. (Yes, I know it does not mean they sell for that) We decided to jump at this one, the prospect of double points the first year was enticing.

As the contract values get larger, I am sure the price per point makes a much bigger difference. But we are guilty of helping to keep small contract prices elevated I guess, haha.
