I spend half my money on WDW, and waste the rest.

Looks about ready, not a lot different though.

I don't know if it will open this month but I'm guessing March. I haven't followed if there were any updates to when it's supposed to open though.

The title is s misleading, it is the Oasis Pool and is not DVC. It is for all guests. It is a shallow pool, about 3 ft.

Thanks, modified. They had a DVC sign in front but prob to advertise.

I wasn't terming it "DVC" as meaning it had anything special to do with it...merely that it is being reconstructed in the same timeframe
As DVC.

I gotta say though - why did they do it? It appears to be the same pool nobody wanted to go into for the last 40
Year. Strange move indeed.

It was always on the list but they weren't going to do it with the main pool in rehab. I think the pictures give the reason, they were trying to modernize it and make it more appealing. Looks like they've done that. Actually the pool was used a lot by those who wanted something more relaxing than the main pool. Never hordes but the lighter crowd was the point of the quiet pool.

It still leaves the pools at poly comparatively lacking though, doesn't it?

At least they did put that one hot tub in...should be minimum 4 for $600 a night though...

The quiet pool has a hot tub as well so a total of two hot tubs at the poly.

Took some ROL but pretty much old news.

I'm confused. Wasn't it a boring circle before construction?

It was...it appears to be the exact same pool footprint.

Very disappointing...and surprising.

At a minimum...you'd think they'd extended it with a zero entry lip.

Definitely went cheap here

Only thing I can add is they reworked the main pool area extremely nice it seems, and it is literally one building walk away. Oddly close actually. About 1/2 the walk it takes at WL to VWL quiet pool, which isn't too bad either. Although with a fence now POLY may be further than I imagine.

VWL to WL pool is about 150 yards, POLY pools are about 85 yards "if" there is an opening in the gate on that side.

The East Pool was never designated a quiet pool, it’s just what many call it. It even had a water slide for a short period. The new Oasis Pool is an oval like the old one but larger and in a totally different location. It actually sits where the old bathrooms and showers were. So they did not go cheap. You may consider it boring but they spent a lot of money on this new pool area.

I think they did a nice job. It does have zero entry and there are bubblers in the water at the shallow end. I think it goes to just below 4 feet deep at the deepest. Disney will not allow deep pools to be constructed anymore which is why the East pool was made shallow in 2011.
