Well I finally beat level 3!!

I walked away & left the window open with the "Try Again" button on it. When I came back I thought I'd give it one more try. I thought I'd have to start saying really bad words because it was running soooooooooooooooo incredibly slowly!! I thought the ship wasn't even moving at first. LOL Anyway, that turned out to be a good thing as the Kracken couldn't move either! And the skull was firing really slowly as well. For some bizarre reason I was getting 2 or 3 times as many shots from my ammo as I'd been getting earlier before it depleted. It didn't just fire slowly, the cannon balls on-screen appeared at the normal rate - they just depleted more slowly.

So there you have it! My tip for beating level 3 is to get it to run so slowly that it's nearly standing still! (So slow in fact that I was able to get up & answer the phone, talk to DMIL for 3 minutes & come back without the Kracken getting me!)

It's probably a bug. I'm going to wait until they fix it before I face level 3 again. It took me about 20 tries the first time.

seriously, level 3 is impossible! the best i can do is get to the first idol and in sight of the second one, but then the kraken pops up in front of me! is there any sort of warning before the kraken shows up?

When I bump the idols, it seems my ship is stunned and I cannot turn or get it to go. The Monster gets me every time 'cause the ship just sits and won't move...

Well, DS6 got through level 1 on his own. However, none of us can get through level 2...

Any hints for that level??? pretty plz.

why dont they just make 2 for level 3 i mean its the only pice that you need more than one you only need 1 front 1 back butb a lot of middle for a boat

Still tips on Level 2? I dont even want to think about how hard level 3 will be for me if level 2 is this hard!

normally on level 2 i try to go slow and find a way to the items without having to go through through ships and i normally just outrun them

For level 2, I can normall y just speed run the whole thing.

Head first for the one to the right and up a little, then get the other one at the top then head around and down to the rightmost bottom one, grab that in a sweeping left turn and head west. Head through the gab between the 2 small long island groups to get the last.

Do all this at full speed, I can often do this without firing a single shot

Ive been pkaying level 3 for 5 hours straight and cant get it, even with gambots tips I dont get it then my friend plays for the first time and gets it.
I am saying so many words right now!!

So I play through the first 2 levels of the new pirate game in a snap, but as soon as I tried level three, I just could'nt beat it! I tried like 75 times and that stupid kracken comes out of nowhere and kills me! I was wondering if anybody acctually beat the game and had an extra level three code they could PM me, just because it is so hard and i have tried like 7 billion times to beat it.

I finally managed to win Level 3 twice. You get 1 side of the Galleon and one Mast. right now I'm working on completing my first ship (2 more sides and I'm done.) If you get down to the final idol on Level 3, you don't have to worry if you get hit by the Kracken after you hit it. Just charge into the idol if you've taken the Kracken down first.

Thanks so much for all the help everyone! I beat the game without too much frustration (and only a few tries) because I listened to everyone else's strategy! I have a friend who I just found out is part of the team that created and tested vmk and she had told me about this website for the game a few days ago, but the game was not active yet, it said "coming soon." As soon as it was active I was going to tell everyone, but I woke up this morning and before I even checked if it was active the news was already buzzing all over DIS! Looks like everyone's right on top of everything! Its a neat ship though, and I love how this board is a team helping each other and not hoarding the secrets to make the ship pieces rare. I think that is really special about this community.

I agree just run this level fast looking for parts, they are in the same place every time. Difference is I look for the ship and start shooting. 7 shoots disables these too.

This is ridiculous. I am having such a hard time beating Level 3 how can they expect a child to do it. My son is helping me by shooting and we cannot get past getting the 3rd icon. It is so frustrating......arrgghhh
