New Online Add-On Tool

I thought they were able to shift points around to different UY now? Very possible/highly likely that I misunderstood something.
I'm about 99% sure that changed awhile back. They can ROFR points and assign a new UY.

So they probably don't have any points sitting around for September. They need to ROFR something new and then change it would be my guess
That was the implication in my conversation - or need to change something sitting in another UY. But I was pretty much told that unless I wanted a small contract, that I'd likely be wailisted and there was no guarantee I'd get the points before end of August (so that I'd get 2019 points as well).

Also, are they even really trying with these promotions? I'm sure someone might pay $235/pp for Poly and $180/pp for AKV direct but that line can't be too long...

The only one that makes any sense - and you have to squint - is OKW direct, because you're guaranteed a 2057 end date, so if you'll actually use the perks it's not an awful deal. It's surprising they're offering an incentive.

I’m pretty sure that DVC gave themselves the ability to change UY on any points bought back through ROFR last spring, it was the only good announcement that came out of all the other bad announcements.

Oh! Also, I was told for those with the Disney Visa card, they could spread out payments over 60 days.

For me, I'd be considering taking advantage of the 6-8 months 0% financing, and then looking to transfer it to a credit card with an 18-month 0% financing before paying it off. Should I decide to move forward.

I'm considering 200 points in 2 100-point contracts, so that I can eventually leave 1 100-point direct to each of my sons so they can get direct benefits (and also so if we needed to sell, we could more quickly sell and get better resale pricing). If we did CCV, that is $185/point with the discount, and AKL is $178/point. I'd save $1400 with AKL, but I'd get 11 more years with CCV, so right now I'm thinking CCV. I want 100 more points eventually with AKL, but if I have direct CCV, then I can just eventually do resale for AKL.

Now I need to let myself sit with these thoughts, because I'm still considering whether it's wise to add on at this point. It's just $35 off per point for CCV is a great offer. Yes, it doesn't compare to the $134 for 100 CCV points I have in ROFR right now, but those Gold AP discounts for our family now - and grandkids in the future - and being able to leave a contract to our kids with Blue Card benefits in the future is definitely something we are considering as worth the extra direct expense.
thats what I have done in the past. But if disney offered theres 5-10 year loans at 0% that would be next level :)

It sounds like they dont have 2019 points. They can change the UY but they dont have 2019 points then they "cant do it". If you ask for a UY that already past (where they wouldn't have to give you 2019 points) then Im guessing they will have it

I ran into a similar problems last year when I needed a December UY and couldn't get one but they had every other UY if I wanted them

SSR goes to 2054 and as of right now has cheaper maintenance fees. MF’s will end up being more than the purchase price in the long run.

Agreed. You have to like SSR better and think SSR's MFs won't exceed OKW. I seem to remember many being surprised by OKW's increase in MF this year, so it could just as easily happen to SSR. But your point is a good one.

I like both resorts a lot. From what I have seen at both resorts is that they need more maintenance people at OKW than SSR. There is a lot more flora and fauna to trim and keep nice. SSR has a lot more grass and a lot less shrubs. My guess this is most likely the difference in MF’s. If you stay at OKW workers are constantly driving by all day on gold carts. SSR doesn’t seem to have as many. Just my observations.

Has anyone had any luck using the online tool? I put in a request on Monday, received a confirmation email, but no one has called me. Should I call them or are they overwhelmed right now?

I requested info about the Polynesian on Monday and so far just what you received back a confirm email and that's it. I don't think the whole sales department is back yet.

I was able to do an online chat with a guide today and he emailed me the info I was looking for, so maybe try the chat.
