Oh! Also, I was told for those with the Disney Visa card, they could spread out payments over 60 days.
For me, I'd be considering taking advantage of the 6-8 months 0% financing, and then looking to transfer it to a credit card with an 18-month 0% financing before paying it off. Should I decide to move forward.
I'm considering 200 points in 2 100-point contracts, so that I can eventually leave 1 100-point direct to each of my sons so they can get direct benefits (and also so if we needed to sell, we could more quickly sell and get better resale pricing). If we did CCV, that is $185/point with the discount, and AKL is $178/point. I'd save $1400 with AKL, but I'd get 11 more years with CCV, so right now I'm thinking CCV. I want 100 more points eventually with AKL, but if I have direct CCV, then I can just eventually do resale for AKL.
Now I need to let myself sit with these thoughts, because I'm still considering whether it's wise to add on at this point. It's just $35 off per point for CCV is a great offer. Yes, it doesn't compare to the $134 for 100 CCV points I have in ROFR right now, but those Gold AP discounts for our family now - and grandkids in the future - and being able to leave a contract to our kids with Blue Card benefits in the future is definitely something we are considering as worth the extra direct expense.
