We got free dining as well!
We only had to upgrade our room from the base to woods view at Wilderness Lodge!
We still saved $600!
:woohoo:

I'll be bringing my two girls and my niece Sept. 17-22!!! :dance3:

We'll be staying at POR and enjoying MNSSHP, both firsts for us!

Congrats!!

Sashafarce and I just booked POFQ for 9/13-9/17 with Free Dining. This will be my first time staying in a moderate since we usually stay off site or at value resorts. She has stayed previsoulsy at CSR and I stayed at Poly, GF and CR as a child. We will be upgrading to Deluxe Dining.

Even though we are Annual Pass Holders, we would need 2 extra days of tickets for our December trip (as seasonal passes are blacked out two days that we wil be there then) so might as well get Free Dining now.

:welcome: I added you to the first post!

I was just able to change my reservation from All Star Sports to Pop!!

My dates are Sept 23-30th. So if your dates are around mine, check online, maybe you can change resorts too:grouphug:

:woohoo:

We will be at POR Riverside 9-26 to 9-30! FD and our 1st MNSSHP!

:welcome: I added you to the first post!

add me tot he list! booked at POFQ from sept 11th-20th with free dining. We have never stayed mod before and im a bit skeptical on the DDP (as we don't really eat the way you should to make it a great value) but we want to do alot of character meals this go around so we decided to give it a try. who knows maybe i'll be converted :cool1:

either way we are going back to disney! airfare is booked and paid for so we're going short of death (and if i die i'll go to disney heaven anyways!)

 Welcome, girl!

We were able to get free dining upgrade from CBR to Wlderness lodge with a woods view and still pay $125 less than our original reservation!! We had stayed at CBR before so to get to stay at the Wilderness lodge for the first time will be an awesome suprise for my family, can't wait to suprise them, thinking we are at the wrong resort!:lmao:

 I would love to be able to surprise my family! How awesome.

HELLO!

I just booked my first solo trip to WDW for Sept. 6-11th with FREE DINING! Anyone else going for Night of Joy? I'm trying to set up a meet.

:welcome:

Woo hoo!! Honeymoon at CSR with free dining booked sept. 2-8 :cool1::cool1::cool1:

WAHOO!!!! :dance3:

Our TA was able to switch our current reservation over to free dining.... no changes POR Sept 9th-15th.... Saved us $281 over the discount that we had before.

:yay:

Mark me down for Sept 17-27 POR RGR FD!!
New to DISboards
For anybody else going these days, I would love to know what your trip plan looks like. Which parks are best for which days, attending MNSSHP?, Fantasmic?, ADR's.
or a link would be nice if this is being discussed on another thread.
Can't wait to pig-out on FD

:welcome:

193 days - ADRs are just 13 days away for me now! :woohoo: Holy crow, guess I'd better get to figuring out what we want, huh? :scared1:

 As of today, I have 17 days. I sent all my stuff to my TA so I'm not allowed to change it anymore! LOL!

Yay!! My DBf and I just booked!! We will be staying at Pop from 9.10-9.17 with free dining! We upgraded to the regular dining plan. This will be my fourth time going to Disney World but this is a first visit for DBf. I'm hoping he enjoys it!! We'll be spending two days at Universal as well and we got the WP&M tickets to check out Disney Quest as DBf is an aspiring video game entrepreneur.

This vacation means a lot to us as its our first vacation together and we will be celebrating our three year anniversary while we're there. Also we're full time students who attend school year round while holding part time professional jobs so we reallllly need a vacation!! Our only two weeks off are in September so I'm happy we were able to get FD so we could make our (my?!) dream Disney vacation come true :)

:welcome: I added you to the first post!

We've been going over the TS restaurants with a fine-toothed comb. I'm not planning an ADR for every day we're there ... just 4 out of 5 days  Seriously though, one of those will be for breakfast and the rest for dinner. I don't like the idea of being tied down to a time, but being diabetic it will be (hopefully) easier for me to change items around as necessary at the TS places.

Anyone taking snacks with them to make up for the snack that got taken away from us this year?

Just wondering if i can be added to the first post :) We will be staying at the contemporary resort the 14-20th of september. So excited!!

Also, we will be there for my daughter and niece's birthday. I was thinking about doing the fireworks with the desserts party on their birthday. My daughter will be turning 5 and my niece will be turning 4. I'm concerned everyone will stand up, leaving the kids unable to see. Is this event a good idea or would it be better to just have dinner with the princesses? My daughter has done a princess meal before and my niece is not too interested in them yet. Any ideas?

I recieved something from Disney saying in the 80's, however, i suspect it may be closer to 90's. At least that is what we are preping for. Last year we went in June, so we are hoping September will be a bit of a relief from the heat.

In the 90's during they day. Nights are awesome, but days, they can be abit toasty.

Yeah, I had posted about temperature because I'm running the night time race, which starts at 10pm, so I'm hoping by that time it's gotten down to somewere in the 70s

Oh for sure night time then will be awesome. Thats why we also love MNSSHP because it's at night time and you can enjoy being outside without sweating, and no bugs. Good luck with your race :thumbsup2

Aww, thanks for the good luck! I'm really excited about it, it'll be my first Disney race!

I've yet to run in heat, since I only started in October, but I'm planning on running my first 1/2 marathon in the middle of June in CT, so I figure if I survive that I'll be good to go for this race! Lol

Booked a week ago! Just found this thread.

Not sure how I missed this thread we are staying in a 2 bedroom at BLT 15-22 our friends don't think they can go now we will either have alot of room to ourselves or find someone else that wants to go.

I AM IN NEED OF ADVICE, PLEASE!! My daughter and neice will be having their birthday at disneyworld (turning 5 and 4) and we are trying to figure out what to do for their birthday day. I had originally thought of doing a princess dinner, but my daughter has done one before and my niece is not really into them quite yet. I considered the fireworks dessert party but i'm concerned that everyone will stand up and then the kids won't be able to see. Can I get some input as to which would be better? Also if anyone has been to the fireworks dessert, what was your expieriance like? THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!

I believe I have heard the same thing about people standing up, but you could always get there early to snag a seat in front (I vaguely remember reading that there may be an overhang that also can get in the way of seeing the fireworks?). However, have you considered any of the tea party options at the Grand Floridian?

Basic Afternoon Tea Dining

Wonderland Tea Party (I don't believe adults come to this one)

My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party

My dd who is 7 know has done both the Wonderland Tea Party and The My Disney Girl Tea. The wonderland tea party is an hour long event just for kids. The Disney Girl Tea party is for both one parent and the kids. They will receive the Disney version of an American Girl Doll (Princess Auroa). It was great and a great memory. A lot of the girls were dressed in princess customs as well. Being that it is a birthday event I would suggest the Disney Girl Party.

We are going on the same dates! I tried for BLT, but 2 of my days weren't available, so we're staying at BWV.

We were at a front table last year when we did the Fireworks Dessert Party. When I asked how we got so lucky, the CM told me that it's a first booked thing. They seat you in the order you reserve. So, if you reserve on the first day it becomes available, you'll be in the front. If you are one of the last, you'll be in the back.
