Holy smokes. 11 days to go - can't believe it's almost into the single digits! I haven't planned a bit for the oldest's bday party this weekend trying to finish up Disney plans! I don't think I ever posted my dining plans to see if anyone will be there:

2/23 - DTD Rainforest dinner
2/24 - Bfast at Tuskerhouse... din at Cape May
2/25 - Bfast at H&V... linner at MM
2/26 - Bfast at CP... dinner at BOG
2/27 - Bfast at Akershus... dinner at Coral Reef
2/28 - Bfast at Cape May.... dinner at Ohanna
3/1 - Bfast at Chef Mickeys... dinner at 1900 Parkfare
3/2 - Bfast 1900 Parkfare... dinner at Teppan Edo
3/3 - Bfast at Ohanna.... dinner at CRT.... dessert party
3/4 - Bfast at Ohanna (my fave!)

Looks like we have the same park plans for the 25 - 27!

Finally prepurchased Photopass.... Can't believe it's almost time to leave! I was reading some posts about how crowded its been.... Hopefully the crowds will thin out before the 24th :/

We are also arriving that weekend, 23rd, also CBR. Thanks for all the tips on BOG. Hoping to have lunch one of our 2 MK days :) Praying for 2 things. .1. That none of us get the norovirus (winter vomiting bug) as people are dropping like flies around us! 2. That this "pipeline of storms" that accuweather predicts for the East coast, until end of Feb, doesn't interfere with our flight out!!

Too funny! Same arrival day for us, but all star sports. And I'm freaking out about the norovirus and the weather flying out of Milwaukee.

We'll be there late afternoon sat 23rd... planning on just eating at the resort, and then spend a few hours at DTD shopping. We'll be up early for rope drop sunday for MK. Try to get most of our rides done right way so we can take it easy in the afternoon, and then hit the rides during the EMHours.

Sat: 23rd DTD
Sun: 24th MK, and Lunch at liberty tree tavern
Mon: 25th Epcot, and Lunch at LeCellier
Tues: 26th HS, and Lunch at Sci Fi
Wed: 27th AK for part of the day, and swimming at the hotel at night
Thurs: MK, and Chef Mickey Breakfast
Fri: HS, and Lunch at 50's diner
Sat: Not sure if we'll do Epcot, or DTD but supper at Ohana's
Sun: MK
Mon: Not sure yet!
Tuesday: fly home. Back to the cold and snow.

And my 7yr old doesn't even know we're going yet. It's getting SO crazy hard not tellig him. My 14yr old is all "cool". .... :)

Back home from a picture perfect time at Disney. Gotta get ready for work this morn...bleck. Crowds, in our opinion, were high on sunday in the mk. We stayed all day and made those extra night hours work for us. Back in the new area it was bottled necked with strollers! Thought at one point we would start screaming. I havent had a small child in 22 years but do parents really need to use those strollers that have two seats in the front instead on two seats behind the other??!!!! that was our only complaint. Went to hs on saturday and was able to do so much with the correct planning. Rode several rides twice. Oh well I hear the job calling. Much fun to all!

ACK.. what pipeline of storms?:scared:
I was hoping with the one we just had it would increase the odds of not seeing another for awhile. Wishful thinking I guess.
It appears if I am not travelling in snow storm season then I travel in peak hurricane season. Just call me an Extreme Dis'er:rotfl:
. Check out accuweather.com. There is a story on the weather pattern and how its likely we will have several more large storm events. Having anxiety attacks too!! Thanks for the good thoughts y'all!!

OMG today is the day...gotta run to Wally World and get last minute things this morning, pretty much all packed up, except the cooler...so when the kids get home from school today we'll be driving our way down to some magic!pixiedust:
Can't wait to see DS's face when he realizes we're staying a few days at ASsp!!
Looked again at accuweather and weather.com, chances of rain have went down some and temps up a bit, so hoping for a good trip!
Have a great day everyone, will try and post before we head out, DD is bringing her labtop so I can try and post a few notes while we're there!
:dance3::cool1::yay:

So envious!! Have a wonderful time. There is nothing quite like "We're just about to leave" excitement is there? All that waiting is now over!:cool1:

We are 10 sleeps from our very own departure day! I wrote the letters to the kids teachers last night (never get a hard time about absences in our school district but we do like to give them notice). My sons clothes are all laid out and ready to pop into the suitcase. I picked up my happy pills for the plane yesterday( very anxious flyer.. they really help).
Reading all of the "IT WAS SO CROWDED" posts made me decide to make touring plans for the first time in quite a few trips.
Best case scenario we won't need them. Worst case scenario we'll have a plan to refer to if it feels crazy busy.

Good Morning everyone!

I've been thinking about changing our arrival day from Feb. 25 to the 24th. We already have plans and adr's for the 25th in DTD and I won't change those. But I'm thinking if we arrive a day early, we could use that day to check out CBR and rest after our drive down there. Then on the 25th we could sleep in, do some mini-golf during the day and then DTD and the plans we already have set. What do you all think?

I've already recieved our mickey mail with the vouchers, etc. But if I change the check in day, we'll need a new packet of vouchers, etc. I assume we would have to pick up the new packet with the new check in day upon arrival :confused3 We had to do that the last time we went b/c we booked it only 8 days in advance and there wasn't enough time to mail it to us. I just don't want to make to much hassle for Disney, we just want to get there sooner :cool1: Any thoughts?

Hey! We have the same food itinerary on 2/26. Although we are doing CP lunch and a late BOG. :) But we will be at MK all day.

Our BOG is at 8:15p right after the fireworks! Hoping for the rose room!

I saw pictures on a thread from last week during the days people were complaining and it seemed more than reasonable. I thing we will be just fine!!! Look for us in the parks!!!

They will have it at the front desk and you might get a $15 document printing fee, but its no big deal for them!

I know that the weather can change daily, but I have to admit all the clouds and rain in the extended forecast are freaking me out :sad1:. I really need some sunshine.

Me too we are 10 days out and its not looking good :confused3 Hope it passes soon

I've never seen an accurate forecast 10 days out for Florida. Don't worry until it is the day before you're leaving! My fingers are crossed for no blizzard on the 20th when we fly out. I don't mind if it blizzards while we are there though. Then I can call my coworkers and gloat.

Not too long now. Flying out of bwi 21, US/AOA til 24th. Then pop 24-3. Hope the weather holds out as well

We just got back yesterday. Our waiter yesterday morning told us that it was much more crowded than normal for this time of year. That was why Disney extended the park hours and added some more events. It seemed like it was always really crowded at MK, even when we went on the days that were supposed to be low crowd days. Epcot's World Showcase never seemed crowded, except for lines for the Maelstrom. Future World only had lines for Soarin' and Test Track. We walked on plenty of rides.

The parks that had extra magic mornings were crazy. We were glad that we got fast passes for the Safari. That ride had a very long line by 10 am. We got plenty of dirty looks as we zoomed by everyone in the stand by line, too. But the Dinosaur ride at AK was a walk on.

Friday night we went into MK after the Wishes fireworks was over and were able to walk on Jungle Cruise. People clear out after Wishes, so if there is a late night, that is a good time to go.

I'm beginning to think that the fast pass plus system might be a good thing. There were plenty of things we never did, like TSM, because the lines were always too long. For example, we got to Epcot 12 minutes after rope drop on Sunday and the line for Test Track was already over 30 minutes long. It took us almost an hour to get through that ride. When we went to Epcot on Thursday morning at rope drop we were able to walk right on Test Track.

The first time we noticed any crowds at our resort was on Saturday morning, when the line was out the door for breakfast at the food court. Prior to that the resort didn't look very full.

We had great weather. Any rain storms in the area all went north of WDW.

I hope everyone who is still waiting for their trip gets great weather and low crowds. :)

We got home Sunday night after an extended stay in the world due to the blizzard. We, too, were surprised by the crowds. We have never traveled in early February before and I was really looking forward to low crowds but was so disappointed! We are rope drop tourers so we were able to get quite a bit done early on but by mid morning wait times and crowds were much larger than expected! Thank goodness the kids were just as happy to swim in the afternoons!

When we checked out of POR the registration line for folks checking in was outside the lobby doors almost in to fultons general store!

That said, we still had an amazing trip and perfect weather. Dining plan was way too much food for us, as kids preferred to eat cereal or oatmeal in the room for breakfast. If we do it again I'll definitely try to plan all our credits better. We had 9 snacks, 7 quick service and 4 table service all remaining on the last day...it was awful to"waste" them especially considering we had to stay two additional nights and they wouldn't extend our dining plan or let us book dining plan for our additional days:(

I hope you all awaiting your trips have a magical time!!

Our first time we had the DP it was very difficult to use and had so many leftover credits (it was also our first trip), but now that we've been a few times we think we are ready.

Glad you made it home and still had a great trip.
