New National Rental Coupon!

JUst got an e-mail today with a National rental coupon for $40 off a week. Vaid for rentals before 6/25/07. It was an Emerald Club exclusive!

Looks like we'll be walking to the Car

Total cost for intermediate with taxes for 4/16-4/23 is $137.08

I'm thrilled to see this. We originally had a reservation with Dollar for about $148, but they don't have the walk to the car service.

I just got it too! I had a reservation with Alamo for $157, I got National for $134! April 21-27, intermediate. I'd rather use National, I can skip the counter!

Evil Princess - maybe yours is coming, mine was at 4:48 Eastern.

My five day went down to $131.78 using this new $40 coupon. I still might do DME then do a 3 day rental from National at the Dolphin for $84.76 using a one day free coupon. DH likes a car when we stay on property. I like DME.. We compromise depending on existing rates.

We just edged in with our rental beginning June 23, saved us another 15 bucks on a full size EA...down to $233.70 for 9 days.

Wasn't able to print out a coupon, assume the code ID will suffice @ the booth?

I got the email about the discount, but no physical coupon is needed, just the number, but my codes bring up different amounts. So far the cheapest is Airtran Frequent Flier.

For some reason AT always comes up very high for me (cannot justify using it for the points); I used AAA #; but similar rates for dates with Sams, Entertaiment Club & Vacation Outlet #5004294

I have a ressie in LAX for June. I simply tried to modify the ressie with the new coupon and it raised my rate! So I will keep what I have and save the coupon code for WHEN the rates drop again.... lol

check rentalcodes.com for the coupon code. I am sure they will post it if they don't have it up soon. It is blocked from my work, so I can't check right now to see if it is there...

I'm going to stay with the 6100120 aarp because it gives you a second driver free. My rate for 5 days is $131.76. 5007125 (EA) gives me $123.50 for 5 days in April. Intermediate car, emerald aisle.

I noticed this at the end of the email:

Saturday-night keep required. Valid for new reservations only. Coupon cannot be applied to existing or previous reservations and may not be combined with other discounts. One coupon per reservation. Coupon cannot be used multiple times on a single reservation.

You'll have to try putting in your info for a new ressie to see if the coupon will be cheaper for your trip.
