***NEW MyMagic & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

We purchased our annual passes online this morning. Can I assume that the paper vouchers we'll get in a week or two will contain the numbers we need to link them to DME?
When I purchased mine they gave me a number to use to pick them at will call. That number is the number that I used to link them.

I'm 73 days out, so I can't see much on the website for FP+. I called MS since there are members of our party who may not have passes by the 60 day window (or even before we arrive). She said I could try to "copy" our FPs. Can anyone explain this? She tried, but since I haven't done a FP+ yet, this makes no sense to me. :confused3

I asked same question on another thread and tried search feature here but still confused as to how one would copy their FP to family members.

Didn't realize my DS's family needed to have their tix linked for upcoming January trip. At this point won't have tix delivered in time for the 60 day window.

Not sure if I should just book DH & my FP+ selections and try to add my DS's family or just wait.

Does anybody know how one would go about the process to

copy FP?

:confused3

OK, I can help here. Not to dwell on my misforture, but I could never get my AP linked to my MB prior to my recent trip. Upon arrive on Oct. 18th, I spent most of my first day trying to get this fixed. Only after more than 5 hours did I get a CM to sort it out for me with the help of an IT person. After he got my AP working, he offered to copy all of my husband's FP+ selection to me. I agree, so he started copying them. Often the times or availability for TSM were gone, so this CM comp me a FP+ to use in the same time range as my DH. I had 14 days worth of FP+ selection. He worked so hard getting all of my problems sorted out.

However, you can just try to copy your fast pass selection to others, as long as they are linked via friends and family and show up in your MDE account. (under Plan and Manage) Most of the time it will work, but you will run into some times not available or an attraction not available. I would suggest then you go to guest relations at your resort to help you get a FP for a similar time. The CM at my resort (BWV) went above and beyond to help and often getting me extra fast passes just so my husband and I could ride together. My first day was a nightmare and I plan to write about it to Disney. I took names and while some CMs were wonderful, I had a few that really ticked me off, esp. the one who said AP holders can't link to their magic bands, even if staying onsite. Don't give up, there are some CM who can do magic. I was with a party of SIX and all 5 had FP+ selection. It was only me that couldn't get my PAP linked. After the first few hours and first few cast members I spoke with not helping or couldn't help, I felt so defeated. I'm glad my husband pushed me into the AK guest relations office as they were closing and we tried again.

SO YES, booked FP+ for you guys and try to copy your selections to your family later. This advice was given to me during my many calls to IT to try to sort out my PAP issues prior to the trip. I'm glad I did it that way, because it turned out pretty good.

We purchased online and the order confirmation number isn't working. Could someone who purchased annual passes online and get them linked please let me know what number you used?

UPDATED: I'm on the phone with Disney now and they are saying that Annual Pass vouchers are not linkable. If you are purchasing Annual Passes in advance and want to link them, you need to choose Will Call.

UPDATED: Who knows what is going on? Tech support transferred me to DVC to see if they could do anything and DVC opened up a trouble ticket to try to find out why the linking won't work.

Maybe mine worked because it was a renewal and I'm picking it up at will call.

Splash mountain is scheduled to close for refurbishment on January 6, 2014. Anyone know why you can't select FP+ January 4th or 5th? It says the attraction is closed.

If I purchase a ticket from undercover tourist, and link it on my disney experience, and the person that the ticket is linked to cannot go on the trip, is that ticket transferable to another person at a later date? Thank you!

So bummed! I tried to link our paper tickets (we bought 10 day non-exp ones in 2005) and got this error:

"Error: This ticket or pass cannot be converted online. You may complete the conversion process in person by bringing the ticket or pass to any Guest Services location at Walt Disney World Resort."

Since we arrive Dec 24th to spend Christmas Day in the Magic Kingdom, I'm assuming that Fastpass Plus won't be much good to us by then. URGH!!!!

Spoke to someone in IT and found out that my type of paper tickets cannot be converted online and that I will need to take care of it at a kiosk when I arrive. Hoping this situation changes soon and that they figure out a way--otherwise, I won't be able to book FP+ until I get to WDW and link the RFID tix to my DME account, right???:confused3

No explanation provided, but our passes were added to DME for us.

Oh no! I have an AP voucher and already received it in the mail. Our big trip is in July and we might make a quickie Jan trip, so its looking like the Jan trip will be necessary to activate my AP so I can have an active ticket when we go to reserve our FP + for July!!

When I called yesterday, I was told the voucher number would work. I'm thinking you had to call and have someone at MS physically add them for you?

It's getting a bit annoying that it all depends on who you talk to...

Glad yours were added.

That's good to know. I added my voucher and its showing up under My Reservations, but when I click on magic bands and tickets its not there. Just an old KTTW card from our last trip in June.

Mine shows the same way. I was still able to schedule our FP+ selections for our trip in December. The only thing I can can come up with for is that since they are renewals(or new vouchers) then they have not been activated yet and that's why they are not on showing on the band. Not sure if this is correct but it's what I'm going with.:thumbsup2

Thanks! Good to know that you were able to do FP+ with it that way! Please let me know how things go once you get there. I'm curious to see if APs will be put on magic bands or not :)

MS couldn't do it and didn't have any idea why they couldn't. They filed a trouble ticket with someone and apparently it got fixed last night.

Now when I select the View Details link on the AP it just spins and spins. I hope that doesn't mean something is still broken.
