***NEW MyMagic & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

35 more days!!!

We have friends that will be meeting up with us some of he days of our trip. Can they use our magic bands to ride the rides I have booked?

Does it matter which you use to enter the park if you are going to double dip? ( band or card)

Just a couple of questions...

1. I plan to go for F&W next year so I'm thinking, *hoping* that everything will be totally rolled out and that I'll know exactly where we're at in regards to FP. My question is, just in case: how are those of you who are testing MB getting FP+ AND FP- tix? With the presence of MB don't you then not have paper tix? Isn't this the very reason for MB?

2. Has anyone linked photopass yet? How is that working out?

3. Where are the viewing spots for FP+ parades and nighttime entertainment in both MK and HS?

4. Theoretically (I understand a lot is still unknown), should I be ready jump on a computer at exactly such and such time on the day my FP+ ressies are available like with dining? Will there be a number to call to do it, also?

And finally, 5. If we choose NOT to go the MB route and NOT participate in the FP+ experience we can do that, right? And we would be issued the key cards and everything would be linked to it, etc, just like it is now save the FP+ stuff...yes?

Thanks to anyone willing to give some insight! It's much appreciated.

Thanks guys! That helps a bunch. I feel a lot better knowing there's a pin attached. I really like this whole band thing!

Let me begin by apologizing, because I'm sure all of these questions have been asked and answered at some point. But with all the information floating around out there and changing on a regular basis I am just hoping to get some educated guesses on these scenarios. Please feel free to jump in and answer any of the questions you feel you have solid information on. Thanks!

1) Buying tickets from Undercover Tourist: when I buy my tickets and the come in the mail, can I link these to MDE just like any other tickets that I purchased from Disney?

2) FP+ availability for off-site guests: my trip begins on January 25th and we're staying offsite. I understand that there are no official timetables out there for offsite guests being able to book FP+ and/or get Magic Bands but has anyone heard any "unofficial" information about this? I was just wondering if after the first of the year they may start a rollout for all guests, not just onsite.

3) Booking FP+ for 5 people: on the trip will be my 4 daughters and me. Any information out there as to whether it's more difficult to get passes for a group of 5 versus a group of 2?

Thanks again.

It is *not* you! It is a straightforward system, but Disney isn't putting any straightforward information out there ... there is lots of speculation involved right now. You definitely have to have some type of ticket linked to your reservation before you can use the FP+ selections, though.

I think (my opinion) that once they officially roll it out and stop calling it a test, they will have set times that each thing happens and they will have that information on the website. Until then, it isn't the same for everyone, so there are no "right" answers.

Example: I'm checking in on Dec 8 and was able to do online check-in at exactly 60 days out, but nothing else. Then around 11 pm last night, most everyone with December check-in dates was suddenly able to access FP+ selections, and those within 60 days were able to customize magicbands. So for me, that part happened at 53 days, but for someone checking in on Dec 1, it would have been 43 days, and so on.

Just roll with it and check the DIS Boards and your MDE site daily, and one day it'll happen!

Actually, I'm at 56 days and while I was able to do my FP+ selections, there is still no option to customize MB. I keep checking..

The answer to your first question is yes. I just received my UT tickets yesterday and was easily able to link in MDE.

I don't even know where to ask questions anymore. I'm showing different FP+ times on the website and on the app, and in some places the app shows different times depending on what screen I'm on! Did anyone else have this issue? I have no idea where I'm supposed to be when.

I am having similar problems and it is frustrating. Does anyone have any suggestions to "fix" this problem?

You don't have to create accounts for them. You already manage them. The "Invite" button is to invite them if they DO have a separate account (and as mentioned above, you both have to invite each other and accept the invite).

So you should invite your friend who has the account, and they should do the same, and you both need to accept the invite. Then your accounts will properly be linked.

I invited my friend and she accepted, I reminded her to invite me ;).

One question however. I did the ADR's before we linked. I entered her and her daughter so they showed up on my Friends list. I invited her, but should I delete her daughter, since she will be managing her daughter?

And can she link the ADR's to her account as well, or will that not work? I don't see any idication that the ADR's recognize her name, I guess I could just handle those for the trip though, as long as 5 people are listed.

Boy, between this and DS college applications and scholarship applications, it's going to be a crazy few months! I'll need the vacation :goodvibes!

I tried to change one of my experiences from Splash to Dumbo and somehow ended up with both? Will I still be able to do both, just one or none? Both show on my reservations with a time overlap. :confused3

Has anyone else noticed the "training" video with Edna Mode on the main MDX page? It's hysterical! And it seems to indicate that FP+ will only be available to guests beginning at the 60-days-out mark. Seems to me that they're getting some of the official info posted about the new system. Finally!!

Did you move everyone over or just 1 of you?

Couple Q's

1. We can only link CC#s to our MB thru resort check in, correct? I have additional adults in my party that want to link their own CC#s to their bands, there is no way to do this online that I can find. Can it be done at any Guest services desk, or only Resort?

2. About those other adults in my party, they have their own APs, but since the room in booked under my Disney account, their bands are being shipped to me, I cant seem to add their AP#s because they 'already are linked to another account' Should I wait for the bands to arrive and then have the other adults add the band #'s to their accounts? or is there a known 'better way'? Should I call Disney?

3. Will the CC#s we have linked to the bands continue to work after we check out of the hotel? We are AP holders who intend to use the bands often and will not always be checked into an on Property resort when we do.

TIA!!

Very excited to try everything out! :cheer2::cheer2:

It can only be done at the resort (maybe at Guest Relations, not sure, but the resort for sure). The online system can't handle additional charge accounts at this time.

You should be able to assign the bands to them. If they already have their own DMX accounts, then you need to link the DMX accounts by inviting each other.

Not at the current time. It is planned to allow touch-to-pay for guests not staying at resorts, so this will eventually happen.

Many Thanks!

Just to clarify, our APs will continue to work on the bands after check-out, even though our CC#s will not. Yes?

So how late can we set our FP+ selections? We are getting military salute tickets at SOG when we get to WDW. So, I might not be able to set our selections until the night before getting to the park. I guess that's enough time, right?

We are going to be heading to the world in 15 days and I have a question on how the magic bands work in regards to multiple reservations. We are going to be staying two nights at Bay Lake and seven nights at Pop Century. We received a magic band for each reservation so we have a total of two each. My question is can we just link one band for both reservations? Also, we will be purchasing annual passes. How does that work if you have two differnt bands?

TIA

Disney is going to send you one MagicBand for each reservation. If you have multiple MagicBands assigned to you, all MagicBands have access to the same entitlements. You can use them interchangeably.
