Please help me! I am still not quite understanding what I need to do for MB
I am booked for end of Jan. at POFQ (a participating resort). We made our reservation online and booked hotel, dinning, and park tickets all in one.
When I click on My Magic Bands and Cards it bring me to a page about linking a MB when I click it, it bring me to a page and when I put in confirmation numbers it says the reservation is already linked to an existing reservation under MY name.
1. Does this mean my reservations are already linked?
2. If I am already linked, where do I go to customize my bands? (so we can have colors and names)
3. Is it too early to do this? (I booked 10 days ago)
4. Once I am linked and I "have" magic bands will the send them in the mail or will we pick them up at the hotel?
5. And I know its not guaranteed but when does the FP+ open up? 60 days? 14 days? I hear conflicting numbers...

Please help me understand the steps and process I need to do so I can start customizing my MB and FP+. Thnx

The opportunity to order/customize magic bands just opened for December check-in. Magic bands and/or fast pass has not been made available to guests with Jan check-in yet. Although most people feel the magic band customization and FP selections will be available at 60 days, no one really knows yet. Keep checking here!

Also, on the right side where it says "manage magic bands" will change to "customize" when MB are available to you.

They will send the magic bands to you in the mail, that is if you live in the USA. For my trip this past sept they sent our magic bands to our hotel, because i live in Canada and at this time they cant send them by mail overseas yet. If you have to pick them up at your hotel, they will go and get them for you at check-in. Sorry but i do not have the answers to the rest of your q's as it was my sister who set them up. I do know that after your trip keep your magic bands because they can be used for another trip later. I will have to find out how they reactivate them, so i can plan for my next trip. They are fun to use, and i got excited when we opened the box at the hotel. Some tips 1)when your at the park still keep your KTTW card with you because sometimes they have to charge you purchese to your room the old way, because the handheld units sometimes fails. 2) also use your KTTW card to get regular fastpasses too. I didn't have an invitation and I was able to get a FP+. I tried the website just now and I was still able to get a FP+, even though my package ended yesterday. I selected a day next week and was even able to pre-order the meal. Then I cancelled it.

I couldn't find our reservation (not confirmation) number Anywhere. My husband is at the front desk now asking about it, thank you for the link!

I'm sorry. We leave shortly. I know this has been asked before but too many details swimming in this brain of mine. To pull paper tickets do I need to use all my FP+ times first or are the systems independent of each other?

Just made my FP+ reservations for a check-in date Dec 20. I was able to do it at midnight.

We waited nearly 30 min to use our FP+ and FP- yesterday for TSMM. We got to the FP machine at TSMM finally at 9:20 when we got in line at 9:03. Got a 5:35 FP-. When we got out of the ride (our second ride), the FP RETURN line was all the way to one man's dream, with a few switchbacks in the queue right outside the Pixar place sign. It was insane. Those FPs holders in line at the end probably had to wait an hour.

Thanks for letting us know, I was wondering if the switch-over would be at midnight rather than 6 AM like the ADRs. Looks like the Calif DISers get the break on this one. I'd rather stay up till midnight than get up before 6 myself. Hope they keep this plan.

At this point you also get a KTTW when you check in. Once FP+ is fully operational and available to all, there will be no need for KTTW card. I have heard early January but don't know for sure (and I am on my phone so I don't know if you have a ticker).

For the most part MB does everything the KTTW does (except MBs can't pull a FP).

My concern is that if I don't use the KTTW to enter, then the FP machines won't allow me to get a FP? Or are the MBs and KTTW "connected" so it they are both "active" together?

No, it doesn't matter. The KTTW card works for FP no matter what currently.

We had a similar experience with Soarin' this past week. Waited over 30mins with our MB FP assigned time.
Think this will eventually work itself out or are we doomed to have this be a usual occurrence? If so you will HAVE to show up at the early end of your window in order to get to your next assigned time.
Also, not being a naysayer, but I think disney isn't getting a true test of how the MBs work if they continue to allow folks to pull paper FPs along with the MB prearranged times..am I missing something? Will this always be allowed?
Plus, am I the only one concerned with only having 3 assigned times? Esp in MK. Now that characters have FP how will we ever get accomplished what we and our DD4 would like to do...extend our stay I guess. Love disney and will continue to come back, but I hope some of this gets straightened out.
