***NEW MyMagic & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

I'm a little confused by the sentence I highlighted above. Isn't the actual process of FP+ requiring you to plan ahead? Also, did you mean it was difficult to get a FP+ time slot that was in the morning, or that it was difficult to reserve them the morning of?

I guess my point is we were able to get pretty much anything we wanted the night before. TSM is so popular that if you wanted to ride it in the morning of the next day you likely will not get that. We could have gotten TSM the night before but not in the morning.

And to clarify, I don't consider getting fp the night before as planning ahead.

I hope that makes sense.

First day of using FP+ was a success and it was the day I was most worried about since I did simmering wing when I first made the reservations and actually had a parallel reservation showing up in our itinerary (6 overlapping attractions instead of just three), but it worked out in the end. I definitely sense a change in ride patterns due to FP+. We had to do single rider for RnR, since we chose TSM and it was a longer wait than usual. At one point we saw ToT had a posted wait time of 150 minutes! In January! But the rides we had FP+ for we literally walked on, no backup at all and I even noticed it was like that on RnR, no backup in the FP lane in the garage. Of course, being January, there were no waits on the other rides and if you watched the tour groups carefully, you'd be okay. 10 minutes standby on Star Tours and character lines were OK.

Thanks for the updates and clarification regarding Toy Story and your other experiences. It's a little daunting to hear reports that standby times are 150 min in Jan which is normally a slower time. What will that mean for our July trip? I am so glad we're going for a full week because we might ONLY be able to ride whatever we have FP+ for, and ride things only once for that matter!

Sorry if I missed the obvious, but I am looking for a list of which rides/shows/fireworks are available at each park, and which "tier" they are considered. I guess we can pick one from each tier for a given park?
TIA!

So, for MK, we can pick any 3 from the entire list, since its not tiered? Like, if we wanted to pick both Mountains and Peter Pan, we could? Also, most importantly, will picking the FP+ 60 days prior to arrival be similar to trying to get ADRs 180 days prior (like, are there limited spots so I'll have the same battle for TSM as I usually do for Ohana)?

1. Yes. That's the current setup.

2. Almost certainly not that hard.

Yes, you can pick any three at MK and AK right now.

As for competition, maybe. Yet to really be seen. Hasn't been an issue so far. If day guests get advanced access, that could change.

We don't ride any of the thrill rides in MK (cause I'm a chicken!), so it would make since for us to use one FP+ for Soarin, TT, or even TSM, then hop to MK and use it for Buzz and maybe Pooh. Are there viable rumors that the one park per day will change in the next few months? Park hoppers lose a little of their value if we can't do this when we go in August...

What's the deal with APs that stay off site. I've heard we'll eventually get MBs and book FP+ ahead like onsite.

Is that true????

That is the rumor...no word from Disney at this point.

More than a rumor, they told passholders they would. But they only said "in 2014".

Latest rumor I've heard is they will get one MagicBand a year (probably per AP or renewal), with a $50 replacement charge.

I have a few questions. We'll be staying off site in June.

1) It appears that by that time even off site people will have access to FP+ in all parks. Is that true as far as is known?

2) However will we be able to make FP+ reservations ahead of time or only that morning?

3) If that morning will we have to do it at a FP+ kiosk in the park or can we do it in the park using the MDE app? I hope the app, waiting in a line to avoid a line makes NO sense.

4) Let's say you are doing two parks in one day. In our plan we are going to Hollywood Studios in the AM and plan to be there at rope drop and go to TSM immediately and then to TOT, both without FP+. So no FP+ being used at HS. Can we then use a kiosk in HS to make FP+ reservations for Epcot later that day? Does that make sense?

1) It appears that by that time even off site people will have access to FP+ in all parks. Is that true as far as is known? Off-site guests have access to FP+ right now. Legacy FP is now completely off line.

2) However will we be able to make FP+ reservations ahead of time or only that morning? Right now, off-site guests can only make FP+ reservations the day they are in the park, and only for the park that they are in. They don't have to be made in the morning, but can be made at any time, but availability will decline as the day goes on. It is possible that Disney will open up the FP+ system to "advance booking" for off-site guests at some point in the future, but nothing has been announced or even rumored.

3) If that morning will we have to do it at a FP+ kiosk in the park or can we do it in the park using the MDE app? I hope the app, waiting in a line to avoid a line makes NO sense. Kiosk only as of now. No ability to use the app.

Your question makes sense, but the answer is "no". You would have to leave DHS and go over to Epcot and use one of the kiosks there to make your Epcot FP+ reservations.

I'm officially frustrated with MDE!!! Yep took me a little while to catch up with the others but here I am ready to throw things :headache:

DH and I went in Sept, we had a beautiful wonderful experience with Magic Bands, FP+, and even the app worked perfect for us.

Saturday I booked a family trip that has 2 rooms-DH and I in one, our 19 yo DS, 29 yo DS, and 6 yo DGS in the second room. I booked a package for each room. Since I can't be in both rooms, the 2nd room went in oldest DS's name. So that I had access to both reservations I set up a MDE account for oldest DS and then tried the invite to share plans-guess I shouldn't have. All I want is to be able to book FP+ for all of us. Well now, oldest DS is listed twice on his reservation and youngest DS has dropped off altogether.

I admit I haven't read the entire thread here-but how do I get this fixed? Trip is in May so we have a little while to get it straightened out, but I want to start now instead of later just in case I run into more issues.

At some future date, all Guests will be able to make FP+ selections in advance on the MDE app or website. Whether that will include off-site guests with day passes by June is impossible to say. I think it's pretty likely it will include AP holders, since testing for a limited number of randomly selected non-resort guest AP holders is starting over the next few weeks.

I have a weird question. Our trip was in November. We went with a large group of extended family. I tried to remove family members from MDE who will not likely be joining us for future trips. In most cases I had luck, but two children, whom I managed their accounts, it tells me I cannot remove anyone who has a magic band? They have a magic band but they are no longer of any use, so is there any way to remove them or do I need to just leave them on my account forever?

ETA: Never mind the app let me remove them. So if something fails online, try it on the app.
