***NEW MyMagic & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

So I know FP+ is still in testing, but is anyone else completely frustrated with the family/friends aspect? It seems to me if there are so many other social network platforms out there to model after it should be easy to create a seamless way to "connect" and "share" with family, but instead it's ridiculously difficult. All I want is to be able to get all members of our party the same FP+ times, and I can't :(

We just returned one week ago from a trip where we traveled as a group of 18 staying in 5 separate rooms. To say that it was frustrating to coordinate Fastpass+ is an understatement. I spent hours and hours copying and pasting into everyone's accounts to get everything to work or else we would have been all over the place. Not everyone wanted to bother with it, but they all wanted the advantages of it. Lucikly, my parents and siblings all gave me access to their accounts so we could coordinate, but it was terribly time consuming. In the end, we were there during a week of very low crowds, so we didn't need to rely on FP+ too much. I was finally able to figure everything out, but the cast members on the phone were not too helpful and the app and website are not intuitive to help you figure out what you need to do. Good luck!

I have read and read but can't find the Answer.

My group of 6 want one or two FP+ different every day.

Every time I try to change it and chose only part of the group for 1 ride it then comes back up showing it's removed the other people from the rest of the rides.
I.e. 4 of us want to ride BTMRR. Parents don't They want to ride Buzz.

We all want ETWB and undersea with Ariel

Help!!!

Disney really has come a far way from their big push for "Grand Gatherings". I thought that was a great marketing approach, bringing big groups in together like that. I wonder how long it will take for word to get how much it complicates things.

I wonder if they have a special way of handling tour groups. If it's hard for 18 people to coordinate, I can't even imagine trying to do this for 50 or 100!

I'm really not sure why the social aspect is so poor. This has been my experience for our upcoming January trip: In order for me to become "friends" with my SIL, I had to send her an invite, she needed to create an account, then she had to approve it the invite in her account (which is anything but obvious and I had to log in as her to do it), then I had to accept it in my account (even though I sent it). And for what?? I have no control over their FP+s anyway. So I'll have to go into their account or have their rooms and tickets on my account (which I'm not sure will work because their room is linked, but not tickets yet). So, if you have someone who is willing to relinquish all control of their account, then you can juggle multiple accounts - Sounds like a lot of pressure to not screw up, but many ways to do so!

And the really insane part in our case anyway, is that they are staying for one night out of our 8 night stay. This is our Christmas present to them and I feel like I'm asking them a million questions, bugging them about creating account, etc. (We even tried to figure things out over thanksgiving - pass the turkey, have you logged into MDE lately?)

For those of you who can customize through April........ is purple an option yet!?!?! :) ;)

I've never spent so much time trying to coordinate for a vacation in my life. And once you FINALLY get everyone together heaven help if you need to make a change. You can have control over everyone's accounts and suddenly when you make a change your 6 year old nieces FP won't allow you to change even though her parents FP will and you have control of their account. Here we are at WDW and every time I log in to see our plans, check an ADR time I get a "sorry there is a blip in the network try again later". Be sure to take a pic of your ADRs because it has been all but impossible for me to ever get to my plans after arriving. They have a lonnnnng way to go to get this to where it needs to be.

167 days to go and grey is the only color option :(

I checked today and was able to customize at 101 days :goodvibes. Before when I checked, they had no other options until I looked at it today. Hadn't checked for awhile though, until I saw that April was open.

We had the option to go to SOG, but looking at how they are treating the offsite guests, might stick with our Coronado reservations. Spring Break without a couple of FP's won't work, and I have a feeling legacy might be phased out by then...

They said if staying at Pop Century we would have the option to opt for a key to the world card that does work with legacy fastpass. We go in February. Can anyone else confirm that.

The people at the call center are not giving out the current information (which is hardly unusual.)

POP Century guests, _IF_ they are getting KTTW card, it is not valid in FP kiosks. Your only option, at this time, is Fastpass+.

Yes! Before we left I spent 45 minutes on the phone with someone at Disney trying to get them to give me access to my 5 year old son's FP+ so that we could get our times to match up. She was able to coordinate most of them for me, but there were some in Epcot that she couldn't change. I finally just said that if cast members were going to watch my 5 year old while the rest of us rode the ride that would be fine by me. It's just crazy! It's an incredibly difficult process to coordinate a large group, and I can't even imagine how harry the whole thing becomes when some members are staying onsite and others are offsite. I didn't miss sending a runner for fastpasses on this trip, but I'm not sure that the tradeoffi is worth it.
- Oh, and one day at Pirates of the Caribbean there was no wait for people using the standby line, but the poor suckers who had FP+ had a 5-10 minute wait on their side. I think that was the first time I've seen people penalized for using a fastpass. Another morning I saw some people using FP+ for Mickey's Philharmagic at 9:15 a.m. Thank goodness for people like that!

Can you connect tickets purchased at Disney Stores or do you have to purchase tickets online.

Can you connect tickets purchased at Disney Stores or do you have to purchase tickets online.

You can (or at least should be able to) link any Magic Your Way or Annual Pass purchased through any authorized channel, as long as you've received the actual tickets or a proper Disney Will-Call number.

I got a My Magic+ package with a reminder magnet of key dates, one of which is my FastPass+ booking window date at 60 days prior to arrival.

On the booking day itself, what time the bookings become live/available (midnight, 6am, etc.?)

I have a couple of questions about customizing magic bands... sorry if they have already been answered. I have 97 days left to customize and 30 days after that till out trip (April 12, 2014). I have completed the customization and clicked done, do I have to do anything else or will the bands just get shipped out? Also if they have not been shipped yet, can I still make FP+ reservations at the 60 day mark? Thanks
