***NEW MyMagic & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

The only thing that ''bugs'' me out about this part of the test is that it means that some guests might still be able to get both FP+ and regular FP while others will only have the ''legal'' ;) FP+ on Magic Bands only...

Wonder how it will all come out!

And of course, some guests haven't had access to FP+ at all for months now. The mix continues to evolve.

So 3 FP+ for one park per day make buying a park hopping ticket obsolete?

Will people settle into a park for the day?

Trying to get caught up on on all this MDX stuff.
We aren't going until April but we intend to get Annual Passes at that time.

What is the projected date for regular FP to retire?

Also if you are a resort guest and AP holders, I have read some comments NOT to link them together. So does this mean you can have an RFID card and MBs. Sounds like there could be some advantages to this.

I just booked POFQ and was told to make sure that I set up my MB.

Is the MB removable easily or will I have to wear it the whole vacation? Is it like the hard ticket event bands that need to be cut off or do these come off pretty easily?

The reason that I ask is that I hate to sleep with a tight band around my wrist.

Thanks for any insight into this.

they come on and off and everyone is saying they are light weight and not too annoying. They are also adjustable for different size wrists...

Question???
We have the MDE app & our magic bands & our FP+ rides are all reserved.
Question......
When you are in the park, other than checking MDE or printing a copy or taking a screen shot with your smart phone, do you get any type of "reminder" that your Fast Pass+ ride time is nearing?

You are totally right! I only looked at the problem on one side!

Of course, we all have to remember that this is a test! At least, that's what I'll tell myself next week if I experience problems ;)

Legal? I see nothing illegal on using both..

My family generally hates wristbands, and to our surprise we found we all really liked the magic bands. They snap on and off (peg and hole). We did not sleep with them, we took them off at night. Just keep an eye on them because sometimes they can pop off if they get caught on something. Also, we found that, at least in the warmer temperatures, they stretched out by the end of the week, so we had to fasten them in tighter holes. Also, we wore them swimming (you need them to enter the pool), but be sure that everyone has them when you leave the pool area- we found one someone lost in the bottom of the pool. We actually felt naked the first few days at home without them!

Hi everyone! I searched this thread and didn't find an answer to my question. What happens if I made FP+ reservations using my AP but then cancel my resort reservation?

I just made a bunch of FP+ reservations for Christmas/New Year's. Due to a giant brain fart on my part, I am at AKV-Club Level for a few days then in an AKV Standard View for 3 days (12/27-12/30) and then at Boardwalk in a Boardwalk View for 2 days (12/30-1/1) and then at the VGF for 4 days. *sigh* I am on the waitlist for Boardwalk for 12/27-12/30 and I really want to be near Epcot and don't want to move 4 times so we have a backup reservation over at the Dolphin for 12/27-1/1 using SPG points. If Boardwalk doesn't come through before my DVC cancellation period (31-days prior to 12/27) I will dump my two 12/27-1/1 reservations in favor of the Dolphin.

So ... what happens to my FP+ reservations made for 12/27-1/1? I will have MBs from the AKV-Club Level reservation over Christmas. I assume I can just keep on using them for FP+.

You will be fine as long as you start your trip with an on site resort stay.

I have reservations starting December 27 and haven't been able to do Ffp. What am I missing?

Just one more day - you can do it! I'm sure you will be fine. I arrive thanksgiving day and was thinking that all those folks arriving earlier in the week would take all the spots. I got everything I wanted and times too. I'm hopping so planning on hitting rope drop in the morning and getting on stuff in low crowds and then using FP+ for the afternoon. I had my spreadsheet ready and rides all picked out beforehand so getting the FP+ was pretty quick. One word to the wise....the system will prebook times for you. I found it easiest to go with an option that had all morning times and then just change the times. I say this b/c the first few days I tried to book I ended up having to change things multiple times and found it frustrating. Best of luck to you tomorrow!

They will take you to Disney Jail, trust me you don't want that.

Is that the one where a dog is your jailer and everything outside is burning down while people ride by in boats staring at you? :crazy2:

Great advice! Thank you. I am sitting down making my spreadsheet as we "speak". We are rope drop family too. Thanks again for replying! Will let y'all know how it goes:-)
