We went to see it last night.

I have mentioned this on the US community board - but I wish I had gone first thing in the morning rather than at 4pm. The cinema was packed full of hormonal teens who wailed and whooped each time Jacob came on screen. :headache: I went with a teacher friend who wanted to stand up and say in her best teacher-voice "I'm going to stop the film until you're all sitting down quietly" - and she is only 26 herself. :lmao:

Anyway - the film was good - I think I wouldn't have enjoyed it much if I hadn't read the books though as you don't get the depth of the emotion between Bella and Edward. It would probably seem like just another teen romance. If I hadn't read the book I would probably have wanted her to end up with Jacob (he is much better looking than Edward and for most of the film he is nicer to her as well).

Edward is very much the tortured soul again (sometimes he comes across as looking constipated - just saying :rolleyes1) and I don't feel he explained enough about why he did what he did. Of course he was missing for the majority of the film too.

So overall, thumbs up for people who have read the novels. Otherwise, unless you are under 18, I wouldn't bother to watch.

I went to see it yesterday, and it was quite funny to hear the young girls gasping when Jacob turned up minus his top :rotfl2: It was a good film, though I do feel like I'd like to give Bella a good slap sometimes :rotfl2::rotfl2: (she's always telling the guys that they are beautiful ~ what's that all about ? :confused3 :rotfl:)

I really enjoyed Twilight, and New Moon was good too, but they're hardly classics ;) and no doubt I'll look forward to Eclipse as well

I'm another one who doesn't get the whole Team Edward/Rob P thing either, the wolves are much better looking ::yes::

That's one of the ways the films are wrong - in the book the vampires are beautiful to the point of perfection. Yet in the film they have cast some quite ordinary people and made the wolves better looking. Makes no sense to me. :confused3
I am confused by the 'Team Jacob' thing. He may be better looking but he is not the one for Bella - she needs to be with Edward to make her complete.

i was going tonight with dd16 but im not feeling too good so i've let her b/f take my place :sad2:
im reading new moon as we speak ! think it was better than Twilight.

My DDs have all seen it this weekend. One loved it, one was disappointed and the other hasn't come home yet so I won't know her opinion until later.

I really enjoyed the books but think I'll probably wait for the DVD to come out, like I did with Twilight.

Im sorry i just dont get it !!! My friend raves about the books and has seen the film 3 times already but i read the first couple chapters of twilight and just couldnt get into it !! Am i missing something *** the whole world seems to be raving about edward ???

sorry but thought it was about a full moon last night which there wasn't , didn't realise it was the vampire film.will step out now

I went to see the film today and yes everyone made noises when jacob took his top off but it was funny, also i found this film have have a little more humour which was good. I really enjoyed the film and can't wait to the next one.

As for the books and the movie, in the movie they miss out alot and its these parts which shows the emotion between bella and edward.

I agree they missed an awful lot of key pieces from the book for me I just wish they would make the films longer so they can include a bit more of the detail.

DH and I went to see it on thursday night at midnight it was a good film but I have to say I enjoyed the first film better I thought the first director captured the storyline better and am looking forward to seeing what she can do with breaking dawn. Although I am looking forward to Eclipse.. :)

i'v been to see it today with my sister (diddldonna on the boards) and my niece we all enjoyed it. we  new moon

I want to see it but unlikely I will lol, no one volunteers for babysitting these days

I bought the books yesterday though, but cant have them till xmas lol

Ive been told its the weekest of the books but we shall see

I loved reading the books, ive not seen twilight yet though...its on my rental list from tesco ;)

I've read the books which i loved, thought the first film was disappointing but they had a small budget but i really loved the new moon film. Thought the casting was brilliant, particulary the Volturi and i gasped to when i saw some of the wolfpack. Loved the comedy in it to, some good one liners.

just back and I loved it, its not a masterpiece but I found it very easy on the eye I cant wait to see it again Im definatly Team Edward ;)

I went on Friday morning and there was still screaming teenage girls there!

I liked the film but thought the first one was better and of course the books are even better.

The wolves steal the show.

Oh and did anyone else spot the error in it?

The it where she got on the back of the bike with the guy or the bit with victoria and harry clearwater? Or did I miss another :goodvibes

I must admit I actually prefered the bit with victoria and harry thought it was better in the film than book..
