Forgot to add me!

My due date is now May 4th for this little bean. It can't come soon enough!

Hi Everyone,

I'm back from Alaska!! The trip was amazing, but I was exhausted!! 2 of the 3 sea days, I spent in bed. Kept going out to the balcony to look outside, but I was so tired, I just slept as much as possible.

Glacier Bay...I stayed up for that one. It was amazing. We saw so much while we were there. It was tough being away from our other 2, but it was a nice time together.

All is well in baby dept, except for being tired, which is my norm.

I can't wait to go to the dr and get the all clear. I hate this part, before ultrasounds, before you can hear the heartbeat. Maybe if I had other pregnancy symptoms it would ease my mind...but I don't need them :goodvibes

I do think I'm going to show very quickly. Some of my pants are already a little snug. I guess that what happens w/the 3rd child.

Hi everyone.

I have good news!!!

Evan Patrick was born on Thursday, September 19th at 11:47am. He was 8lbs and 2ozs, and 21.25 inches long.

We are both doing fine and I was able to be discharged early and we are home now. As soon as I get a little rest I'll post some pics.

I'm in the same boat you are, just a different color!:lmao: I'm definitely, maybe, going to reuse DS#2's crib bedding, etc. I made DS#1's myself and bought the other one. It seems like such a waste of money...you don't use the comforter, bumper pads have restrictions and the sheets that come with them are never soft enough. So I basically paid over $200 for 2 valences and a bed skirt. :scared1:

Oh no! Pinkeye! Sounds like you have my kind of luck!:thumbsup2 Hope it goes away in time for pics!:goodvibes

1st time mom to be here- what is the restriction on bumper bads? I know I had heard something but wasn't sure. I have started looking at bedding sets but dont want to spend the $ if i can't use half of it.

They are saying that it should be removed by the time the baby is 6 months old...that there have been multiple babies who have died by strangulation.

For me, mine didn't go into the crib until he was almost 6 months. What a waste of money!

I took mine out, my sister left hers in---all of our kids survived. I would read the reports and make your decision based on them. I knew with my kids, and the way they rolled around, that I was safer removing the bumper pads.

Along these same lines, I have a question for all of you ladies!

I received an email that my bassinet has been recalled. I bought it back in 2005 from Target for a pretty decent price. I've used it through both of my sons and had planned on using it for this one too.

One of the features it has is a section that pulls down to make it a co-sleeper. This is where the recall comes in. Apparantely, if you don't replace it right, the baby can get caught and strangled (sadly, 2 babies died this way).

I never use this feature, ever. Would you return it for the store credit and have to pay at least $30-50 more dollars for a new one or would you keep it knowing you never use that feature?

(BTW, since DS#2 has been out of it, it has been stuffed to the gills with all of my maternity clothes and is still in tact)

12 days late! Wow! I'm surprised they let you go that late!

I was 2 weeks late with my son!!!!!!!!! They finally induced me, but things weren't "favorable" and I ended up with a c-section!!!! Even at 2 weeks late, nothing was happening, no softening, no dilating, ZILCH! My doctor said that my son could have been up there another 2 weeks if it was up to him!!!!!!

Congrats to baby Evan!

Welcome new moms!

As for the bassinet, personally, if I didn't use that feature at all and that was the only way it presents a hazard, then I wouldn't return it (unless like PP said, you can borrow a 100% safe one from someone else).

I'm going in tonight to do a procedure to open my cervix....they will take the implant out tomm am...and then induce me tommorow am. So hopefully Caleb Allen will make his way into the world tommorow sometime. They want to do this now because most likely I was going to be very late since my cervix is barely open and they did not want me to go much past my due date since he is getting bigger and bigger. So hopefully this works and we do not have to result in a c-section.

Is it the foley bulb? If so, I've been there. Let me know if you have any questions and good luck!!

Well, add me to the pink team! I'm having a girl! :cutie:

Congratulations!

IMO, replace it. You'll never forgive yourself if something happened and you knew about it.

Here are a few pics of Evan.
On our way home from the hospital. It was so nice to leave a day early and go home.

Thank you, I'm doing great. No one warned me how painful the contractions are 2 days after delivery. Whew... they were just as bad as labor sometimes. Apparently with each pregnancy it's harder for the uterus to shrink down so the contractions were much worse. They are all gone now.

I've always pumped instead of B/Fing so I rented a hospital grade pump and "go to the barn" about 6 times per day. My goal is to pump 8 times, so I'm getting there.

Bleeding has been much less then the other 2 and I'm still sooooo glad I came home a day early. That was the best decision for me.

My MIL is visiting from Florida and has been a huge help. :worship: From laundry to baths and meals. I'll miss her when she leaves next week, but I'll also be glad to have my house back.
