New "Mom's to Be" Thread!

Oh bekkiz, two little boys will be such fun! I bet since we can't think of any girl's names we'll have a girl! What was the name you picked? I need ideas!

We can't even come up with one boy name...I can't imagine having to pick out two. And our time is running out quickly.

I, too, am having a hard time with a name. See thread! You would think after 3 boys, picking out a girl's name would be easy :sad2:

We have had names picked out for months, but we're waiting to tell people until we have the baby.

So, hypothetically speaking...what would you do if you were TOTALLY in love with a baby name, and then a celebrity "took" it from you? Would you still use it?

We are naming our little one Levi if it's a boy and Ava if it's a girl :lovestruc We came up with those names about 2 months ago and they just stuck!!

I would use it! Actually we had that same problem. I had the name Emma picked since I was a little girl. It wasn't very popular, then all of the sudden, Ross and Rachel on "Friends" have a little girl and name it Emma. Thus the boom for Emma. Well I used it anyway and it's a perfect fit.

If I'm thinking of the right name, it's beautiful! Who cares if a celeb uses it or not! Does it start with a V?

I can't wait until Friday! What will you do if they say It's a Girl! ???

My u/s got changed to THURSDAY!! YAY!!!!!

If it's a girl I will probably faint for real!!!!!! But seriously I will be sooooooooooooo thrilled if it turns out to be a little girl!! But I'll be shocked, because I really feel it's a little boy!!

Hi everyone!

Well, I just got back from my now weekly appointment. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going, but I guess that's what happens when you have 2 little ones.

Anyway, all is well. Doc thinks my visit to the ER last week may have been the stomach muscles tearing due to multiple pregnancies. I'll get that fixed when I get my tummy tuck.:thumbsup2

I lost another pound, for a total gained of 8lbs. I wish I had this metabolism all the time. I mean how many donuts and pieces of pizza does a girl need to eat to gain some weight....

We are heading to the beach this weekend and next, then I'm cut off from going until after the baby is born.

Also, I have an U/S scheduled for the 20th. Going to measure the size and see his position. For some reason I can't get the feeling out of my head that he is still breech, and though it's too early to worry about it, I just have this feeling. Keep your fingers crossed he'll be head down by then.

We moved our son into his new bedroom this past weekend. He has a Mickey Mouse theme with the bedding and a red wall like Mickey's shorts. He did great! Two nights so far without a peep. He looks so tiny in the new bed, even though it's only a twin. Also working on the potty training thing. So far we can get him to go about 3 or 4 times a day on the potty. Just trying to get all the change done and in a routine before the baby comes.

I've been getting his old room ready for the baby. DH brought up the boxes of clothes from the basement. Everything has been sorted and put away. I feel a lot better about being organized. I even found a half pack of newborn diapers. Now to raise the mattress of the crib and find a few missing items and we'll be all set.

Finally, DD starts kindergarden in 2 weeks!:scared1: :guilty: :sad2: :scared: :sad1:
I can't believe she is 5 and starting school. I was on the phone yesterday with my DH talking about some things I need to pick up at the store, and he asked "do we need anything else", and I said "some school supplies for Emma". Well that brought on the tears and it lasted for a good 10 minutes. UGH! My baby is going to school!!!!!:teacher:

Well that's my life in a nutshel. Hope everyone is doing well!

Well today is the big day for me!! We find out at 8:30 EST whether we are having a little prince of a princess!! Lets see if mommies intuition is right and we are having a little boy - I really, really think so!!

Best of luck to you! Be sure to report back as soon as you can. :thumbsup2

I am starting to get that "okay, let's get this show on the road" feeling. Over 36 weeks now and ready to move about unencumbered. I get this awful pain in my back after I have sitting for awhile and it is driving me batty.

Ok a couple questions for some BTDT moms....I have a doctor's appointmnet tomorrow, but I'm impaitent :lmao: Notice that 2 of my questions are pain related, because I'm just that lame...
a) Is going to the eye doctor's ok? Is there anything I should ask them to skip?
b) My abdomen hurts. Like the entire muscle/skin area on the outside. By the end of the day, every step I take makes my tummy area move and it hurts! Any ideas on how to prevent this or am I just having growing pains?
c) Similarly, my groin hurts, like the joints at the inner thigh. And it's getting to be painful to walk. I notice it more if I've been sitting or laying down for a while and then get up, but it doesn't seem to be getting better. I assume this is some sort of hip spreading issue, but please tell me it goes away...

B and C are totally normal (sorry, not a lot of experience with the eye doctor!). Unfortunately, C might go away or might not, depending on whether it's "growing pains" or something like symphisis pubis dysfunction. The first is really common, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. In which case, as the uterus changes shape and gets further over your legs/off of that connection, you'll feel a lot less pressure. I had something similar from 7 weeks throughout the whole pregnancy, but only because I ended up having separation of the joint -- not as likely.

Hang in there, you're well over halfway done! How is everything else checking out? I didn't realize you were at 24 weeks already!!

Since B&C have been covered, I'll take A.

Very important to know that your eyesight changes with pregnancy and will change again after you have the baby! :thumbsup2

I would definitely go, just let them know when you get there that you are pregnant. I've been there pregnant a couple of times and don't remember them cutting anything out.

Hey, don't leave us in suspense!!

Can't wait to hear the news!:goodvibes

The only thing I didn't do at the eye doctors was I didn't have her dialate my eyes. She said I could do that after delivery. That way I didn't worry about driving home all blurry eyed.
