Put your drink in the fridge when you get it. My docotor advised this and it tasted much better...almost like a sunkist...in fact I'm not to sure that it wasn't one it tasted that close....but it is sugary. I too was also nervous about drinking it but it turned out fine. And when I had my 3 hr done I had to drink one at the lab and they luckily gave me a cold one also.

HI Mommies,

I have a good friend who is due Aug 28 and just found yesterday(the day after her beautiful shower) that her baby boy is going to be born with kidney problems. They found cysts in both kidneys and they won't know until the baby is born how bad it will be. It may be that he needs meds and dialysis and eventually kidney transplant...or he may only live a few hours.:sad1: Do you know of anyone who has gone throught this?? How can I help my friend?? She already has High BP and now she has to stress and wait until end of pregnancy to know what's going to happen. If anyone had any advice please let me know I would really appreciate it.

I always ask for the lime. It reminds me of Sprite, and yes, cold is better.

No advise, but hugs to your friend.

Hello Everyone!

Do you have room for 1 more! I am expecting baby #3 in February (my best guesstimate!) - SO EXCITING!

Currently we have a son named PJ who is 3 1/2 and a baby girl named Cameran who will be 2 on July 19th. We are going to have a pretty full house with 3 kids under the age of 5 come February!!!!

What would you ride/have you ridden while pregnant at Walt Disney World?

All the kiddie rides. I also did the Safari - I just really braced myself when we started going fast and over the bumps. I found that WDW was really preggo friendly - there were only a handful of things that I wasn't "allowed" to go on.

Welcome and congratulations!!!

I, too, am expecting #3, but I definitely have you beat. When this one comes in January, we will have 3 kids in 37 months....:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

The scary thing is...they were all planned...what were we thinking??????

So I just got back from my OB. I'm 2 days shy of 37 weeks. I'm 2 CM and 90% effaced!!!!! OB thinks I can go any minute!!!!!
I'm SO SCARED!!!

Hang in there! Truthfully, lots of people walk around like that for quite some time! Are you scared just because your little one might be here soon (which I think can always leave us anxious!), or because it's "early"? At 37 weeks all should be well, if that is your concern! Relax and take care of yourself... any minute or 3 weeks from now, either way your baby will be here before you know it! :goodvibes

You'll be fine! Seriously, you'll find a strength within yourself that you never thought you had. And at the end of it all, you'll have a gorgeous baby! :goodvibes

Thanks! :)
I can't wait!

I was terrified but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The end result is so wonderful that it makes up for any pain you went through.

You are going to do great! Good luck.

Noah was born at exactly 37 weeks. You can do this and the baby will be fine. Good luck!

I have been so busy taking care of Noah that I haven't had time to post. He's been wanting to nurse, nurse, nurse! I feel like that's the only thing I'm doing. That and changing all the diapers he's going through. :rotfl:

Have you toured the hospital yet to see the rooms where you will give birth? If you haven't, that might help with the "unknown". Have a nurse tell you exactly what will happen from start to finish so you know what to expect.

The pain, honestly, is forgotten after it's all over (or at least a couple of days later). If we can forget that easy, then it's not really that bad. You can make it through, and if the pain becomes too much, you can get relief from medicine!

I can give you a couple of tips to help you out. Walk as much as you can from now until active labor! Walking helps the baby move down into position, which will help you later.

When you reach active labor, (this is the BEST tip I ever learned), get a high-back chair and sit in in backwards. You can put you pillow in front of you to make it more comfortable. Lean towards the back of the chair and relax your arms. This position is similar to the ball some use, except that you can lean on the back of the chair and don't need to balance. The biggest (and sometimes hardest) thing you can do for yourself is NOT tense up. Try to keep your body relaxed.

You may be required to stay in bed --- don't be afraid to move into a position that feels better for you!

Lastly, trust you instincts! No one knows your body better than you do.
With DS#1 (my second time giving birth), I KNEW that I was almost ready, but my (ex) midwife kept telling me it would be all night (this was 11PM), so I gave in to an epidural so that I could "sleep" through the night until it was time. As soon as they hooked it up, they said, now you won't feel anything. They were wrong! I was 10 cm dialated! It took me 3 hours to push him out because I couldn't feel anything! I wish that I would have spoken up more than I did.

Don't be afraid to ask us questions. Many of us have given birth before (some of us, multiple times)! :thumbsup2
