New MK resort?

This image was posted in a different thread. For those wondering the relocation appears to mostly happen after the Grand Floridian property.
Interesting idea all around. The monorail through there runs close to Seven Seas Lagoon, so the resort would be attached to the outside loop? Isn't the outside loop the express to MK? Anyone want to guess the current level of vacancies of DVC today?

It would make more sense for them to reroute the road to expand the Grand Floridian over anything else. There's a huge demand for VGF DVC points and it's much more profitable to throw up a new building or two + an extra quiet pool and sell that vs. contruct a brand new DVC resort. That would be the smart thing to do. Why buy a 2nd cow when you can just keep milking the one you already have?

Where they are looking to expand would cancel the usual complaints about the distance between the GF and its self-parking lot!

There is enough room for both an expansion of the resort and an expansion on the parking lot. Based on what we’ve seen with resale values is that there is a huge demand for the GF even with such a high point cost. If they build an extra building next to the convention center, it will be right next to the walkway to Magic Kingdom and sell better than Reflections would have. It makes sense for them to can Reflections and sell VGF instead so that they can postpone building another WDW DVC resort.
