In Spite of the rumors about Comcast and Disney. My wife and I just bought at SSR. We recently returned from a vacation at AKL and were so impressed that we decided to join DVC. We would like to return to Disney for our anniversary in late Sept. Our points (use year?) begin Sept 1, 2004. We are thinking about staying 3-4 nights at SSR and then going to VB for 3-4 nights. Any important things we should consider? We both like the ocean but wonder what the bug situation might be like in Sept. We are in our mid 40's and this will be a romantic vacation. We haven't made reservations yet, as we just sent our check out this past weekend. We are fron NH so I don't think the weather will be a problem. We just don't want to waste points. We would hate to not enjoy the beach because of no see ums. We want to stay at SSR because it is our home turf but if anyone can suggest something better to do let us know. Thanks in advance.

The combo trip(SSR/VB) is a great idea.

As long as you use spray with "Deet" in it you should be fine. The no see ums don't come out until after the sun goes down, and usually by that time you are going to dinner or in for the evening anyway.

Congrats & Welcome home!!! You will get your points on September 1 every year. At SSR you will have 11 months from check out to book. So UY doesn't matter when booking!! You have 7 months from your check out date to book. Depending on the time of year & size of room 7 months can be difficult but not impossible. When did you want to book?
