Trying to find where to watch the Karen Read court case and it has been harder to find than I thought it would be but the story is just incredible and unbelievable. I'm in Mass and a lot of people have posters about the subject, there seems to be a lot of local support for her.
There is also now a suspected serial killer hunting hiking trails in the New England area (I know authorities say no but they also said no about the Gilgo Beach killer for ages and many others) so I am paying attention to that story too, yikes.
I watch the shows because I like watching good law enforcement work play out in real life and in fiction like in Mindhunter and sometimes solid journalism like in The Jinx can be mesmerizing, I still think there will be more than meets the eye to the Murdaugh case because the answer was just too neat and simple for the rats nest uncovered.
Anyway, Karen Read story got me to wondering why true crime is such a popular topic, do other people like seeing these awful people get caught too or are there other reasons people like it?
