New Kids Rides

For all you disney heads complaining that there is nothing for kids to do at Sea World, except for the shows....there is news on the way.
Last year SWO introduced three new kids rides:Shamu Express (a small kids coaster) A Samba Tower, and Sea themed Teacups. While they are nothing incredibly out of the oridinary, it is something else for the youngsters to play on. Now there is even more coming to Sea World as they will introduce three more flat rides, including one that is already on site. The Zamparala "Ocean Commotion" Is a Rockin Tug.....its a take on the DiscO coaster in which little kids get into a tug boat that goes back and forth and spins around.
This is what it looks like.

So now all of you who say there is nothing for kids there.....and you know who you are....there you go. Plenty for kids with lots more on the way. Its shaping up to be a great little park.

Do you have any idea on the maximum height requirements for the new kids rides (the four already on site, plus the two additional flat ones that are to come)??

DD9 is almost 60 inches tall and was unable to ride on most of the childrens rides at Busch Gardens last month (56 inch max).

Just wondering if she would be able to ride the 6 new Seaworld childrens rides??

Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

I am 6 ft 275, and I rode all the rides. So my guess, no max.

When we went last may I think my boys got the record for riding the Shamu most times in a row, there was no on else there so they got on 10 times in a row. After the 1st 3 times of getting off and walking all the way around and them waiting for us to make it back through the walkway they just let them stay on. All the seats were never completely full everytime they rode. I think this is a great coaster for little ones. They loved all the other rides too.

They also played in that playscape for 2hrs and made tons of new friends that they kept seeing in the park all day and tell me there is my new friend mom.

May I ask what month you went? Must have been great for it not to be crowded!

We went on May 21st , it was a Sunday. There were a lot of people in the park just not anyone at the kiddie section. I really liked it because it was like its own little mini park just for kids.

We will be there this March too. We skipped Sea World last year for this reason (fewer rides compared to other parks for the little ones). Now I am glad we're going back!

On that Jazzy Jellies sign...

does it mean guests must be 42" tall
and 4 years old or with an adult

or does it mean guests must be 42" tall or with an adult
and 4 years old or with an adult

...anyone know for sure?

Now that I've made it as confusing as possible, what I mean is must they be 42" tall, period?

DD will be 4 years old, with an adult, but not likely to hit 42" by September when we go. I'm just trying to get an idea in advance of what she can't do. TIA

Tracey, according to the sign, riders must fit one of these descriptions:

age 4 and 42" tall to ride alone

--- "or" ---

ride with a responsible adult but not be a hand held infant

So your shorter child will be able to ride with an adult. A toddler who is able to stand and walk could ride with an adult. A tall 3 year old could ride with an adult too.

They've added three more rides since this thread. A new "drop" tower, a caroselle(sp?) and a Rocking Tug coaster.

Thanks, it sounds like I'll need to allow some extra time for this section. I suspect that once DD gets into Happy Harbour it's not going to be easy to get her back out.
