New Jersey Shore

Hi

We are planning to stay a week in the New Jersey shore area (just outside NY) in the summer. Does anybody know any good hotels on the beach. We plan to take the ferry from NJ to Manhattan as it doesn't take long to shop and sightsee.

Any help on nice areas on the beach would be appreciated.

Just giving you an evening BUMP Sounds like a lovely trip.

We are using our air miles to get there and decided that as it will be hot we would stay on the beach, but I have never done the beach thing before near New York and a friend suggested that we may like this area as it's only a short boat ride to Manhatten so we can still shop, sightsee and go for nice dinners.

Should be fun.
