New info on the Military codes for fall>>

I see it..

I can only find my rates including tax.

My pop rate is 56 including taxes
and AKL standard room is 152/ including taxes..

Either way its' still a great deal and I"ll have fun :)

Oh and where did you get your countdown?

:goodvibes Hey all, I too am splitting a stay Sept. 26 - Oct.1 at POP and Oct. 1 - 5th at AKL, Sav. view and am saving the 40% on both stays. Great deal!!! Cannot add the package deal, so I checked SOG ticket prices and then I also checked the ITT (MWR) office on the base and the ITT office actually is cheaper than SOG. For 2 AD PH 7 day MYWs and 2 CH PH 7day MYWs the difference is a savings of about $26 total. Not a huge difference, but a little one, so I thought I'd pass that on in case anyone wants to check it out! See those of you going Sept. - Oct. at the land!!!:earsgirl:

HI purple you and I will be at AKL one overlapping day :)

our base only sells 4 and 5 day tickets no 7 days :(

Okay, we're going to be there on Thursday. I'm just a bit antsy that they'll say the rate really isn't supposed to be for DOD civilian employees. I know, I've check twice  , but this is the first time they've extended it to civilian employees.

Any other DOD civilian employees check in with this rate yet?

Thanks!!

Judy

A year or so ago, Disney offered free tickets to military person and greatly reduced ones for family. Has anyone heard if Disney is doing that again? Thanks in advance.

Sherry8253- They offered the free ticket to the military memeber and then up to three dependents could buy the ticket for $99 dollars. It started around the spring of 2002. I've wondered the same thing myself but I'm not counting on them doing that again. Disney offered that promotion in honor of the military members and 9-11. I think that if they would be doing it again it would have been after the first year of being in Iraq? Just my thoughts!

It was 2003 and it was free 5 day pass for military member and they could purchase up to 5 five day passes for $99 and they did not have to be used only by dependents. We went and took our son, my parents and nephew so we bought all 5...could not pass up that deal. Would be nice if they did it again...we would definitely go! :flower:

We didn't get to use it as my dh was in Korea for a year.... we would jump on it if anything even close to that was available!

Thanks all. A friend of ours is a single dad with 4 kids and he is saving to take them to Disney. He was supposed to go with us in Dec '03 when they were offering the free and $99 tickets but got called up to active duty and had to cancel. The kids were very disappointed. He just returned from an 18 month tour of duty in Iraq in March '05. If they offered the ticket discount this year, he would have been able to swing joining us in Nov/Dec when we go. Looks like he is going to have to wait until next Dec when he has saved enough money. Too bad he missed the offer when it was available.

Sure would be nice if they did it again. Not holding my breath. But, Busch Gardens/Sea World had a promotion around the same time as Disney I believe and offered it again this year (btw, it expires at the end of 2005--it is one day free admission for Service Member and dependents).
I think they did it a second time because the first required that the AD military member be present. DUH! Many were deployed so the families couldn't even go. This year the families could take the deployment orders and ID and get the offer.
I don't know how Disney offered the program.

We took advantage of the Sea World offer this last July down in San Antonio! It was a great day. The military member is free and so is three dependents. After that you would need to purchase a ticket for the fourth person. We had to for my step-daughter. Just thought I would let everyone know!
