I was here for the thursday night thing & sat here for 27 hours yesterday (from midnight night before til 3AM next night) and at 2:50AM, I did get a clock show up but for just 3 minutes. I type very very fast (100 wpm), and was shaking, and got all the way to the end. I even filled out the survey, and hit 'book' (my credit card bill with 6.00 even showed up) with 3 seconds to spare & then it said, "sorry end of promotion" in that blue box thing. WTH? I thought the survey & 'book' was the end of what I needed to do.

This is exactly what happened with me last night..at the same exact time. First of all...it was only 3 minutes (you also have to watch the video in that time)!!! BUT....I know that I had it all in on time. There was either a computer glitch or a pre-planned scam planned. If they knew that they were going to do this..or if they thought that the promotion was over their capabilities (which we were starting to see signs of at the end of last week..with false emails beign sent out...) then they should have ended it Sunday...before they dragged everyone along until 3am Tuesday.

I would NEVER use this company for travel booking...I guess when some were posting about their BBB report (grade F) it should have been taken more seriously.

I am annoyed...and have "checked" myself. The amount of stuff I could have accomplished..and didn't...because of this stinks. But I did learn my lesson! I would never do this type of thing again with a virtually "unknown" company. I think that makes the difference...priceline, travelocity, etc....it wouldn't have had the same outcome.
 
so sorry about your dh, mine was refreshing pages and we were on seperate computers, and it was crazy. i am a SAHM, and i rebate, enter sweeps, etc, as my"job", and my hubby was really proud of me. but i feel like poop now that i didn't get a room, i was so exhausted yesterday that i got my daughter to school late, and my house is a mess. it looks like they would have just given this out randomly to so many folks a day. you should make popcorn and curl up your hubby tonight for a "romantic" movie and pop in "harry and the hendersons", and say "i did find bigfoot today" and here he is:rolleyes:

OP :wave2: sorry that he got upset, you were trying to do something nice for your family and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

We haven't decided where to stay for Xmas yet. We're staying at Pop for Cole's birthday though...and it's costing me more for the weekend nights than it did for last Christmas on Xmas Eve and Day. :sad2: The Thursday is $69.00Disney isn't courting the FL residents these days. :guilty:
 

So did they even RUN it yesterday? I sat in front of my computer ALL DAY yesterday and shouldn't have (I was at work)... and tried for HOURS to get my laptop to connect from home and finally gave up.

This is seriously AWFUL of them to do and there's NO WAY I'd EVER use this site to book a hotel. If they can't even carry through a 2 week promo the right way, how the heck do I trust them with $$$$$ for a trip???

HORRIBLE Public Relations ... PR is my field and I"d NEVER advise a client to back out of a contest or handle it the way they have with the "clues" and "any time zones" thing.

I feel as though we've all been scammed ... with what happened last week and the deal happening AFTER midnight and whatever happened yesterday...
 
Just had this thought--we should probably all run virus protection on our computers. You never know...

At this point, I'm just hoping to pick up a bounce back for June and October when we go next month. I know the dates they had when we went in December didn't include Halloween..but maybe they will now. pixiedust:

OK, so I just called their customer service number. First, I got a gentleman whose Indian accent was so thick, I truly couldn't understand him, so I asked politely to be connected to a supervisor.

I was connected to a supervisor who didn't seem to know anything about the promotion apart from what I could read myself online. She knew nothing about the reports of it being cancelled. Then, she put me on hold for a time.

When she came back, she told me that the promotion was still on. I let her know that the promotion didn't happen yesterday, during the 24 hour period from midnight to midnight. So she took my number, and said that a manager will call me back.

They had it when we went in December. Bit I remember they didn't give you much space to play with.
