FYI.. Just got the promotion at 6:17am. They were all townhouse/condos, offsite properties. I was eyeing the Poly or any of the Disney property hotels, but they were not listed during the promotion. My countdown started at 3 mins.

Sounds like they are changing the deal and making it virtually impossible to get in. Not a great way to do business. I quit about 2pm yesterday. Won't be giving this company and business in the future and will be warning others to book elsewhere as well.

So sorry everyone who stayed on and up all night didn't have it work the way they said it would.

Virtually impossible about sums it up!

I know they don't have to give away something for free to everyone.. but for the promotion to change the way that it has (and be managed the way that it has) I wouldn't have any confidence in an actual reservation through them in the future.

No, I didn't book anything since we already have Boardwalk on our DVC points. If I got a Disney property, I would have booked. I checked Bahamas, but there were no properties listed. I went to check NY city, and there were some, but I didn't do research on it and was nervous with the time running out so I missed out on that. I did use enounce which speed up the video so that helped.

For those embracing the insanity here is what happened to me this morning approximately 6:10 a.m.

1. commenced the search for universal resort area

2. video popped up - finished watching it

3. results page with resorts showing $1

4. selected resort (portofino) and got a message that the 15 minutes were over

Well then I am glad that I went to bed. It sounds like it was one big scam. Congrats to those that got it. I think it is ridiculous that they changed it and then didn't even say that they were changing the way they were doing it. Oh well. It was interesting at least.

This reminds me of the whole JCPenny's/Dockers Free Flight fiasco from two years ago. The company didn't realize how huge it would become and were unprepared to handle the volume of the promotion. I eventually ended up getting my free flights, but it took months of letters and phone calls to clueless people.

One thing is for sure - I will never use LMT again and I'll be sure to pass along my feelings to family and friends.
