Are there any guidelines that Scentsy sets as to where and how you can advertise? I ask because when I sold 31 and Tastefully Simple they were very limited as to what you could say online. While it is slim that you would be "caught" it was possible and you could lose your business. They really did not make it easy to sell online.
That being said it is alot easier to get sales in person than advertising online. Hold a huge open house/party and invite pretty much everyone you have ever met in your life. Also do the invites through a fb event invite and an online party for those that can not attend. Encourage orders by offering a prize or free gift with a purchase on a certain day or during a certain hour. You can also do a drawing for a prize and give entries away when guests complete certain tasks ie: bring a friend, bring an order, place an order of $xx.+, order the special of the month, etc, etc. Offer anyone that books a party off your open house a free gift or let them pick one sealed envelope out of a choice of 3 or 4. Usually the curiosity of the envelope will get more people to book a party. DO NOT give them the prize until the day of the party. Some people will cancel and will have the prize will nothing for you.
You have to get in front of people in order to get the sales and the parties. I would look for events in your area where you can set up your products as a vendor for cash and carry and also to book parties. Start looking now for the holiday/fall season. If you wait until then they will already be booked up.
Good luck!
