Blondie.....that is what I call a room with a view!!! lol

THANKS.......for those fantastic photos!!!!!

Thanks So much for the "Satellite Room" View. I can't wait for August and 8 days at the Swan :cool1:

Is the only place to refill mug at the Dolphin? I'm specifically interested in coffee. Are there any places in the Swan?

I'm pretty sure the only place to refill is at the Dolphin in Picabu.

Thanks for all of the fantastic pictures. That really helps those of us that haven't been there to put things in perspective. Now if I could only make a decide which hotel.

Well, we're not exactly little, but we're both senior citizens and we're booked at the Swan on my teacher rate for July 10-17! I stayed at the Dolphin in 2003 and haven't been able to get back to see the mouse since. This will be my 5th trip and my friend's first. We can't wait!

At the Dolphin - Picabu's.... ground floor, near the pool.

They also sell odds and ends too, including bags of chips and boxes of cookies (not shown):

My daughter is afraid of covered pool slides. She finds them dark and scary. She thoroughly enjoys the open air slides like the one at AKL. Does anyone here know about the slide at the Grotto Pool? I know it is described as partially covered, but what does that mean? How much is covered? Is it twisty in the dark? Is it scary?

You do go through a very short tunnel - it's not dark and it's not long at all. The slide isn't scary...just fast enough to be fun. How old is your DD? Mine loves the slide - the first time we stayed at the Dolphin was when she was 9.

We travel light, and I do a lot of washes at WDW. I see from the map that the laundry is in the Dolphin (hopefull near the Grotto pool, so I can lounge while the wash goes!). But I read somewhere that the machines don't take change? Something about tokens?

Do you convert your money to tokens right at the laundry, or do I need to go to the front desk to do this?

I have my laundry routine down to a science, and need to know what adjustments I need to make for the Dolphin! LOL! And why doesn't the Swan have its own laundry room!?!?!?!

The laundry room is right down the hall from a door that leads to the Dolphin's lap pool, and a little further down is the the Grotto Pool. The token machine is in the laundry room.

I have no idea why the Swan didn't get a guest laundry. :confused3

Just wanted to share that if the token machine in the laundry room is out you can also get the same tokens next door at the arcade. They work in the washers & dryers too.

What is more fun, the laundry room or the arcade? :laundy: :happytv::drive:

Does anyone know if the S/D still has the straight A's reward thing going? My DS got a hat and an icecream vougher a few years ago, (before he became "cool" and started hiding his good grades,) and my DD9 wants her turn at it.

TIA for any help!:)

I've read of kids who have gotten them recently. My kids did too when they were younger. :goodvibes
