I thought that you could have 5 in the room at the Swan. Is this true, or is it just the Dolphin? Are rollaway beds free?

I found a transportation site that offers 3 choices for
delivery to the resort. pm me and I wil send the name.

Only 5 in the Dolphin.....the Swan will consider even a baby a person, even if in a crib. While I cannot verify, I was informed by Starwood, that if you have a rollaway for a child, there is no charge!

Last year we spent a day exploring and I really liked these resorts. just wondering if their are any advantages or disadvanteges?

From everything I have read the advantages that are extended to the Swan and Dolphin are: free Disney bus and boat transportation to the parks and DD, Extra Magic Hours, package delivery to your resort. They do not honor Disney Dining Plan and do not offer room key charging.

I agree.

They also do not have ME bus service from and to the airport.

They are however a 4 star hotel with stellar service.

In face the Birnbum's offical guide to WDW says that the SWan/Dolphin
24 hour room sevice is the best on property.

They are Epcot resorts and are just a short boat ride or short walk away from Epcot & Disney/MGM Studios

Also with the great rates and discounts offered by the Swan/resorts the room sare often 50% less than BC.YC or BWI.

I just realized that I didn't get any reservation confirmations in the mail. I did get an email confirmation. Is that all S/D sends out?

I always feel better with a snail mail confirmation in hand when I head down to WDW.

i got a confirmation online and i joined starwoods points and
you can also make meal ressies for s/d only thru their site or call them directly, if you want. ( they show all their menus and such)
i am renting a car from them once we arrive.
i am looking forward to the gullivers character dinner.

Where is the Grotto pool in relation to the two hotels? This is the pool with the slide right. Someone posted a map, and I didn't see that pool on it. Trying to decide which hotel to stay in.

No recipes, I've only had the green bean fries from TGI Friday's. They're really good, served with a side of wasabi-ranch dipping sauce.

If you are trying to choose S or D, the pool isn't really an issue in my mind. The pool seemed equally close to both. Actually, since the Swan is smaller, the pool may be closer to all rooms at the Swan than some of the Dolphin rooms. And each has a poolside cafe/bar.

The "poolside bar" is one of my favorite food and drink places at the Dolphin! They make some type of rum drink that tastes like I'm back in Bermuda! My complaint is that they close at 5pm. I would like to see them stay open longer in the evening!
