New DVC Member Cards coming next month.

Worth Noting.....

Original post showed "new Membership Cards Next Month" - posted December 15th. That would say new cards in JANUARY.

Today is January 27th. Starting February 1, I (at least) will be CALLING to ask what the new plan is, as the OLD plan obviously FAILED.

Our dues are paid, and I want our cards. GIVE me these, or I will consider challenging the Dues Payment. Fortunately, these were done via CC - and Federal Laws protect us in situations like this.

I don't feel unreasonable in this - OUR DUES ARE PAID - WHERE ARE OUR CARDS? The second you nail us due to an internal company issue is the day I consider a CC challenge. JUST DO YOUR JOB, or consider saying "within the next four months", and HONOR everything legacy until you can get your act together. "ECARDS" that die in March are worthless - GO TO YOUR SHIPPING VENDOR AND INQUIRE AS TO WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. DO YOUR JOB.

Yes, I'm probably being a bit of a hardnose on this one..... but I never got a "vote" for new cards, my dues are PAID, and I don't want to screw around anymore. SHIP these, or can the whole thing until next year, if it takes you that long to PERFORM. When I show up in April 2016? I want my PAID MEMBERSHIP honored.

Disney - Amazon can deal with gift cards within 48 hours. WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?

EDIT: having grown tired of this, I CALLED DVC Member Services tonight (1-27-2016, 19:00 EST) - and i finally got the truth.....

The DVC card vendor has screwed up. The NEW "Red Line" date for New DVC Membership Card RECEIPT is now the end of FEBRUARY, 2016.

NOT a complaint - rather, I asked Member Services to POST THIS, in order to avoid the thousands of phone calls that they were likely to get. ONE simple post on an official Web Site = 10,000 calls that the poor agents do not have to answer.

Just as a note, the temporary/digital card is good 3 months from the date you create it. So, mine is good into April. How long they accept them is another question I suppose.
 
Seems like it has been made very clear that the old cards are still honored until April, I guess if I don't have mine by then it may require a call to MS. Until then I think the 450,000+ members around the world will continue to receive the new cards which seems reasonable to me.
 
We got our cards in a large mailing, one packet for me and a separate for my spouse. I thought it was a big waste of money the way they mailed them. The cards are nothing special and do not even have the scan bar on the back. What a waste of money, I know they wanted to put an expiration date on them but then they should make them like credit cards and let them be scanned or run through machines
 

For those who have not received their cards they go out in batches.

From what I understand single Member cards have completed shipping and they are now on to double member cards. So most households who only have 2 Members on their account. I believe it goes by people with the same last name. SO starting next week you should be starting to receive them.

Those with 3 members will be in the next batch.

That can't be correct nor does it follow the many reports of people with 2 on the membership having received at least one card.

Currently those with 2 cards are shipping in the same envelope. There are many reasons why people are receiving cards in separate packaging. (Data Error, Different Last names, different member numbers, different mailing address)

I'm the only one on our contracts and no card yet. There's too many reports to the contrary IMO for that info to be correct. Although considering their ability to muck up a database that may be the only issue.

If you are the only one on the contract then you might need to call. I know for a fast that those with 2 Member Cards are currently shipping. There are whole set of rules for mail shipping. Everything that goes thru the USPS with bulk shipping goes by weight. So the vendor ships in batches and right now its 2 cards.

My husband and I have the same last name, same member number, same address....but only I received my new card last week. His has yet to be seen.
 
We have 3 members. One got her card and the other have not.
 
We haven't received our new cards yet...I'm not worried...the old ones are still good and I can always print out the online ones ....not calling member services and tying up their phone lines with this
 
We still haven't received ours. There are 4 on our contract (2 in my household in IL and 2 in WI). We leave in 6 days. Oh well.

That may not be true. We are both on our membership equally and we got them in two separate mailings. The delay is the usual reason, DVC is completely disorganized. They can't keep the Website up consistantly.

This is what was told to me. DVC had issues getting member data to the vendor. You are also not going to receive new cards if you are behind on your Dues.
