New DVC Member Cards coming next month.

No. My DH does not have a DVCMember.com account - or if he does, it hasn't been used in many years. I do all the booking, and all of the MDE & ADR &FP reservations. But he has always had his own DVC Member card. Still don't see why they didn't include a card for all owners listed on the contract (s) who have the same mailing address.

Same with us. DH and I are both Purchasers and both of us have had DVC Member cards from the beginning.
However, I am the only one with a DVCmember.com account because I do ALL of the planning.

My concern from this thread is all these families where only one spouse is receiving a card. Are they only sending cards to those people with DVCMember.com accounts?
Doesn't make any sense. But why else would only one card be mailed?

For those members who have received their new ID cards, but your spouse has not.....
Do you both have a DVCMember.com account?
Yes, each of us has our own membership and our own set of points, but only one card has arrived. Same address, purchased the same day, our member numbers are literally one number apart. Alphabetically I would come first, so no rhyme or reason, mine has not arrived. As I said above, I also never get the Disney Files magazine so I don't know if somehow I'm not on some mailing list, like they would have removed one of us instead of sending two of the same thing to one address. I don't know, but my card still hasn't arrived.

Nice theory but not the necessarily the case. As I posted earlier, my DD got hers and her DH did not. He is the one that does all the planning and deals with MS all the time.

My DH originally set our DVCMember.com account up in my name because I am the one that does all the planning and calling MS. When they decided to merge all Disney accounts it all has appeared to revert to him, even MDE that I set up in MY name. He wants no part of that. When I asked MS about setting up an additional account they told me it was unnecessary since we are both members.

We got ours today and we're in the UK.

We are joint owners of one resale contact and have got 2 cards (in separate packages!)

I think it's way too early to be concerned. Many of us haven't received a single card yet. I know with pass holder mailings we often receive those a couple of weeks apart.

I'm not worried about it. If my DH doesn't get a card before our next trip, we'll just stop by one of the sales offices and get one printed for him.

No card here.
We have a trip in February - where is the sales office ?

Preview Center at SSR
The Community Hall in several DVC resorts can also do member cards.

I've not seen any posts that say they are issuing the new style cards on property yet. You can also get a 'digital' copy by logging on to the member website.

New card arrived here in Germany yesterday! And it was even adressed correctly. I recently found out that DVC seems to have trouble with getting the two countries of GERMANY and GEORGIA (somewhere in Eastern Europe, used to be part of the Soviet Union) mixed up...

What a waste of vacation time! Why should the member spend their time chasing down a card, solving a problem, that should have been handled Disney's ever-eroding customer service?

I don't think it's going to be the reality. The old cards are still able to be used for a couple more months and there is the digital version to use if one prefers. I think people are just surprised that Disney mailings aren't combined and that everyone doesn't receive at the same time - that they go in batches. But it's they way all of Disney's mailings go. I'm always just shocked when we're one of the first to receive because typically we'll receive things that others reported receiveing 3-4 weeks earlier.

We got our cards today. We got two envelopes, one addressed to me and one addressed to DH. I am not sure if that is because there are two of us on the contract or we have sets on purchases (one direct from Disney & one resale). Both are the same resort & use year - the only difference is the resale ends in .1 instead of .0. We always get two of everything (i.e. Disney Files).

Still no cards for my husband or myself here in WV. My daughter at a different address got hers about a month ago. All 3 of us have dvc.com accounts.
